They were somewhat easy to install.

One of the two clips broke when I tried to fasten it
Fortunately it came in a pack of 2 and I only needed one. I'm not sure why it is designed in the way it is. When You fold the plastic together to slide in the metal hole on your door, and place the bar inside of it, the plastic appears to be stretched as it latches. The first one broke. The second one held. I'm not sure how long it will last. I could be mistaken and it last for 10 years, but I suspect in the next year I will be ordering a replacement.
