As close to perfect as I've found
As far as lanyards go that I've tried, this is as close to perfect as I've found. The length for me is ideal (5' 10" guy, average build and arm length). The lanyard is super soft so it lays flat, great when you're climbing in / over truss and don't want excess crap hanging outside of your body to get caught on something. I already carry enough crap between dual leg fall lanyards, rigging rope, tool pouch, etc to get caught on stuff. Also, the internal shock cord is fairly soft, unlike others that make it feel like it might as well be a solid piece of steel cable. You won't need huge biceps to pull this one out.The tool lanyards are well made and have nice metal snap hooks with strong gates. Other lanyards that I've tried have plastic quick release buckles that, while may be strong, don't build confidence that the tool, if dropped, will stay connected. I definitely don't want any chromium dropping on to someones cranium. My only complaint is the carabiner that it comes with. It's really of crap, dollar store quality. The gate is gritty and doesn't always snap back. If you're going to use this while up on a grid, swap the 'biner out for a locking variety. Yes, you'll spend as much on a locking 'biner as you did the lanyard, but $15 is cheap to not kill or injure someone. If you're using it down on the ground to simple not lose your tool, I'm sure the provided 'biner is up to the task.

As Described, but Growing Fuzzy
Purchased this lanyard set to go with my new Ultimate Ratcheting Focus Tool. The length is perfect for me, stretching from belt loop to the end of my overhead reach (I'm 5'-6" tall with pretty average sized limbs). As with any lanyard, this sometimes swings out and gets caught on things while walking (C-Clamps on standing lighting fixtures, theatre arm-rests, etc). It's unavoidable, but just so you know this isn't a miracle product. The detachable/interchangeable tool clips are great-- they fit through teensy tool safety holes, they are easily clipped and unclipped, and can be used independently as a wrist lanyard. The reason this product got four stars instead of five, is that after having this for less than six months, the bright yellow material covering the stretchy part of the lanyard (which is thoroughly sturdy and still just as stretchy/shrinky as when I received it) has become fluffy. While the threads themselves aren't pulling out, it seems like the material isn't as heavy-duty as you might want. This fluffy/fuzzy cloud around the lanyard tends to get caught on male velcro or rough metal surfaces/edges.Overall, I would definitely recommend this product, but be weary of how it is stored. I throw this into my bag with all my other tools, which probably contributed to its wear. It's not so bad that I wouldn't purchase this gear, just something to be aware of.

Great tool leash for a theatrical electrician, but I wish it came in black.
I am a Student Master Electrician in my college's theater department. I work nearly full time in this job. Working in theater is one of the many jobs where it is necessary to have all tools tied on to you, so that a tool can not fall and strike someone below. This tool leash is a top notch tool leash that is better than just using some rope or one of those cheap plastic tool leases handed out at trade shows. I like that it comes with three attachment cables, I use one for a standard 8" wrench, one for my StageJunk Ultimate focus tool, and one for my GAMCheck. My only wish was that this was black. After working in theater for the past 7 years, almost all my stuff is black. I realize that this tool leash is meant for construction which places a high value on high-visibility, but not everyone works in those conditions. I am tempted to see if I can dye this black, because it really stands out on me otherwise.

Good leash
Have had this leash for three years now and it's still in good shape. I keep my C-wrench and socket wrench on it; you can clip more than one tool to the leash and it's been pretty convenient for me. The clips and the leash have always held tightly and I've never had a tool slip out, which is great because I frequently work at heights. The only drawback is that the fluorescent fabric on the leash pills and frays pretty easily, but it hasn't ripped yet so I'd say it's still pretty solid. I'm short, so the length is good for me, but for taller people it might not be as comfortable because they'd have to always be stretching the leash. It's pretty easy to extend with the attachments, though, and with some improvisation could probably fit taller builds.

Nice safety device.
I really like this “leash”. I’ve used it with my impact and even though I haven’t dropped it to test I like the security of knowing I won’t drop it on someone below or it breaking. I wish there was a better way to clip on to the tool besides the include straps but at least there are three so I can have multiple tools ready to go. The length is good as I even put it on my hammer tacker and was still able to staple house wrap and felt paper when on roofs. I’m 5’9” so someone taller might not get the same reach but it’s good enough for me.

Cool features for the price.
My first impression was it's heavy duty as it should be. CLC is pretty known for making HD products for hard use. I'm a sheet metal roofer and there's plenty of opportunities to drop expensive stuff, and I've taken that more than once. Finally bought it and took my DeWalt DCF895 with the fat XR 4AMP battery on it, attached it and threw it to see if it would really work for my drill. Don't want to find out it didn't at the 'too late' mark. Needless to say, it does work. Even if it saves a tool from 1 drop, it will have already paid for itself.Plus, the 3 rings can also act as wrist attachments on their own.

Well made bit of kit
Very well made for the price and incredibly quick delivery!! Ideal for power tools/ anything as heavy as a drill or nail gun when working at height. Good length too; at full reach whilst clipped at my waistline, the bungee was just starting to stretch, absolutely perfect!!

Excellent!
Purchased this item to assist with keeping my chainsaw with me when I am dangling from our trees! As I unfortunately do not have four arms, I really needed some help whilst trying to prune our numerous and huge trees. Time and again, I have been forced to leave my chainsaw precariously perched on a branch or my ladders...it was a pain! So, am hoping this lanyard will solve the problem. I haven't actually used it as yet...but it looks the business!

Really good
Really good lanyards. Worked well for Dewalt drill and impact driver. Would change the clip on the lanyard to be a locking one but other than that a great product.
