Handmade Katana, Samurai Sword Katana,1060 High Carbon Steel, Full Tang

For the price, this katana is amazing. Solid, sharp, flawless and beautiful.

I was not expecting much for a sword that was under $100. I bought it to just see how much sword I could get for such a cheap price but this sword surprised me.Pros.-sword is light, has a distal taper, Weight:2.07ibs POB 5.5 inches from the guard-Blade came sharped, not razor sharp but paper cutting sharp- Saya fit is good, sword did not fall out if turn upside down and it was easy to draw, no blade movements in the saya- kashira or end cap is secured on, so as the Fuchsi, no wiggle or movementCons-blade came with scratches and hammer marks- habaki is loose- handle feel cheap, the ito or handle wrap is loose and moves around- handle is small, so someone who has average or large hand will not like the handle as much.I did some cutting with water bottles and it did a good job. Then I cut into quarter inch wooden dowels , still good. The blade did get more scratches though. Finally I took it to a wooden 4x4. I went pretty hard and after a few hits I was able to cut through. The blade stay straight, no edge rolling or nicks and it was still sharp, but it had lost some of Its sharpness. Also if you look in the right light there is a glint on the edge where the sword cut into the 4x4. This might mean that the blade is a little on the soft side since the 4x4 I used was only soft wood. In conclusion it's a good sword for the money, the blade is probably on the soft side but that is not surprising. This sword would be great for first time sword buyer or someone who wants an inexpensive beater that they could have fun with and not worry about damaging a nice katana.

I bought this before and a guy offered more than I paid for it so it went bye bye and I ordered this one . Love itJust wish it had a thicker handle option because my hands are bigger than normal. Great blade.

Poorly crafted but it has a nice and sharp 1060 steel blade with no hamon. This Katana is a good project sword. I will modify it for training purpose and the whole tsuka will be replaced. The handle is too thin with loose tsukamaki. However, I do like the simple style tsuba, fuchi and kashira. The blade is bigger than the habaki, but at least the habaki is real brass.

10/10 looks amazing and for the price it was a steal i loved the fact the blade came wrapped and had a good amount of choji oil to keep the blade from rusting during shipping, will buy again!

Ended up returning mine. The wrap around the handle is done very shoddily and will come undone quick. The blade begins sharp but dulls so quickly, and is prone to chipping. It looks good but does not perform well.

the craftsmen ship is beautiful and its real not a toy. mine is super sharp, solid and heavy not like the fake ones

This sword was sharp, a small slip and your hand will have a lasting impression….a deep cut. Great for display or practice maneuvers.
