Worth every penny!!!!
This karaoke microphone is a huge hit with the entire family and has already provided hours of entertainment! The kids have been singing with their ipod touches using music from thier itunes libraries. itunes offers karaoke apps, but we haven't decided on one yet. This machine works well with the music already purchased and stored in their ipods and there is a button near the power on button that will almost block out the lead vocals, while keeping the back up vocal at the regular volume. The sound quality is better than I expected too.I purchased an additional microphone and haven't found any issues with more than one person singing! Infact, the kids have enjoyed putting on shows together and since the cords are pretty long they can even dance while they sing. The base is solid and heavy and therefore doesn't easily allow the stand to fall over. It's definitely a sturdy system. If you enjoy listening to your children sing or if you like to sing yourself, I would definitely recommend this karaoke microphone.

Memorex Singstand (karaoke/singing)
I purchased the Memorex Singstand for my husband after seeing it on "The View." It's wonderful and works as demonstrated on the program. You can connect your iPod or MP3 player to it and sing along with the songs. It has a feature that allows you to minimize the lead vocals on some songs, giving you the music and background vocals, allowing you to better hear the person who is singing (this feature does not work on all songs). It has an "echo" feature to it,also, giving an echo sound to one's voice (whether singing or talking). You can also hook up a guitar and amp to it. The Singstand is great and my family loves it. Loads of fun! I recommend the Singstand for people who like music and/or singing.

The only Karaoke Machine you will need.
The other reviews does not do justice for this product. I just bought this a few weeks ago and I'm very impressed. I would say that is exactly the Karaoke machine I was looking for. Something simple to setup and easy to use. This is a sing stand with two built-in stereo speakers at the base of the machine. With height adjustable stand. The way to set it up (if you're not technically inclined):1. You can output your TV's sound to the sing machine directly, by connecting the audio out (L/R) to the base of the unit. Connection like this allow anything that your TV plays output the sound to the sing machine, so you can sing along with it. In this case, it allows limitless possibilities. For example, you can play some song on youtube, then you can easily sing along with it. Or anything that your TV plays, such as a DVD or online source.2. You can connect your media devices (such as your celphone or iPad or tablet). All you need to connect is using an audio cable plug into your device's audio headphone jack. The other end connects to the sing machine. Anything your device (tablet, phone) plays, you can sing along to.There are multiple ways for audio output as well.1. Normally, the sound from sing machine along with your own vocal (through the Microphone) will be played to the built-in speakers. The built-in speaker was surprisingly decent. Provides enough volume and bass for a good singing experience.2. However, you can also output the audio to another device, such as your own soundbar or stereo system. All you need to do is, connect audio cable to the headphone jack on the base of the sing machine, the other end goes to your stereo system. Using a normal generic audio cable.3. You can also use the built-in speaker as a bluetooth speaker for your phone or tablet. In order to do that, simply select the source to bluetooth, and on your phone or tablet, search and pair to that bluetooth speaker. Now everything that plays on your phone goes to the built-in speaker of the sing machine.Other notable features:- It can connect two Microphones, and there's volume control for both Microphones.- You can active the vocal cancellation button, so it could eliminate most of the vocal from the input music. If you don't have a vocal less Karaoke input, you can still sing along.- Once your plugin a headphone or other audio device to the audio /headphone out jack, the built-in speaker is muted.NOTE: at first I thought the built-in Bluetooth allow me to use Bluetooth to output sing machine audio to my soundbar. No, it doesn't do that. The Bluetooth in the sing machine allow you to output other audio source and play sound through its built-in stereo speaker. More like a generic Bluetooth speaker you have.In conclusion: this inexpensive sing machine allow you to sing along to pretty much limitless input options. Such as DVD, blureray, on TV, Online, phone, tablet etc. It provides nice enough echo mode and decent built-in speaker.

Karaoke fun
This is great fun for the kids. It was easy to set up. There's room for two microphones (it comes with one, but you may buy another), and you can add an electric guitar.I have a Sansa mp3 player, which connected easily and works well, though it doesn't seat in the mp3 holder well. That might hold an IPOD, but I don't know. It sits, but it's not well-seated and can fall out easily. The mic volume can be controlled up or down and there are independent switches for each mic, but if the volume of the music is turned down, the mic is also turned down. There is no way to turn the mic volume so it is louder than the music. It is possible to turn the music completely off and sing to nothing. There is an echo option which can be controlled to allow for more or less echo in the voice. The vocal eliminator function will eliminate vocals from a track at the touch of a button. The vocals are not completely eliminated and the music is a little distorted, but that is to be expected when eliminating vocals from a track. It is not possible to do without a little distortion. It's a nice feature to have so we don't have to go out and buy a bunch of karaoke music. The biggest drawback to this karaoke system over others is that it lacks the lyrics display. Of course, when using our regular mp3's, we don't have lyrics anyway; but there is no option of getting lyrics display if we wanted it. I simply go find the lyrics on the internet and print them out.The kids enjoy this microphone. Sometimes, they don't necessarily use it for singing, but it's a fun system and we will get lots of enjoyment out of it as we have already.
