Water Proof
Does what it says on the tin. Follow the instructions and give it time to set and you'll be in for a mercifully bone dry time. I can attest to it making the leather a bit darker (used on my sued boots) but I honestly like it more that way.

Provides some rain protection on suede jackets, boots & shoes but does darken color & can be uneven with darkness

Cumbersome application but solid results
I have so far treated two pairs of short suede boots--one black, one tan. I did not clean them beforehand because they were new. I was initially unimpressed with the clumsy application of this product. It sprays out in blobs, so I had to use my fingers to spread it vigorously over the desired area. I treated my black boots first, and have been wearing those in the snow quite a bit. After a couple months of winter they still look new and clean, so I'm really happy with that. I recently treated the second pair of boots, which are a deep tan suede. The product blobbed out again, and this time on the lighter color I saw that the shoe turned dark and splotchy in the areas where I had directly sprayed the product. I tried desperately to rub it around as best I could. This was a concerning situation, but now that the shoes have dried, the splotchy effect has disappeared. The overall color is very slightly darker than it was before the product application, but I can barely tell and I don't mind. I will definitely purchase this product again.
