This works do well to waterproof your leather shoes or boots. I’ve used this on my hiking boots, my leather work shoes and my wife’s leather winter boots. She was worried that the product would change the look or color of her boots. It keeps the leather waterproof for about a year then you need to reapply. It does not impact the color or sheen of the leather.

This has been my go to boot waterproofer for many years. It is the best waterproofer that I have found and doesn't discolor the leather too much. Has kept my hiking, casual and moto boots looking great and dry for a long time. Besides the initial odor (which doesn't linger) this is the only waterproofer to buy in my opinion.

The product works well and add some water resistance to where it's applied. My initial use was on some older deer skin gloves. It goes on easy with the attached sponge applicator, although if not careful it will over saturate and run off. My main issue is the smell. A day later and it still has a somewhat unpleasant odor. It would be fine for shoes or boots but on thinner gloves it permeates through and ends up on your hands or if you go to wipe your nose you get a good whiff.

This wax gives the smooth finish, protection and restores some of the rich coloring your item had that you expect. Easy to apply and safe to use.

This was purchased for a pair of hiking boots that are at least 7 years old. The boots themselves are in great shape, but there was the concern of how waterproof they still are after that many years. Nikwax did not disappoint, the boots were in rain quite a bit and walked through streams and countless puddles. I will be using this wax on all of our waterproof boots and shoes in the future.

I bought this after realizing that I purchased work boots that were not water proof. Since I had already worn my boots and couldn't return them I decided to do what I could to waterproof them. After testing cheap waterproofing spray I decided to give this a try and I was impressed at how good it worked.

I’ts hard to put into words how good this product is, right now It I feel like I’ve found the Holy Grail! I’ve been looking for a waterproofing breathable product that lasts on leather in all weathers and this is it!Im a hiker and biker and I’ve used this on all my boots. They look great and supple after application and water just beads and runs off.Easy to apply, value for money and protects any goretex investment. Well done NikWax 5 stars from me!

Like all their other products, Nikwax’s liquid waterproofing wax really works. It’s easy and quick to apply. Do it before wearing, of course, but like everything else, one treatment won’t last forever. So if you feel some damp (or more) coming through, do it again. It can (should) be applied when the leather’s already wet, and the waterproofing is good again (in fact, their waterproofing wax cream is possibly better for while you’re already outdoors in the wet; the tube’s also easier to keep in your golf bag or rucksack). Not only is the leather waterproofed, it is kept supple, so it doesn’t get dry and cracked over time. I use it for my golf shoes and regular street shoes.

Used this for my Blundstone boots because the boots came with a small sample. Also used them on a pair of dress shoes. It works well repelling water, it has no fumes and is easy to use on your shoes wet or dry. It idid make my unpolished boots a little more matte, but on my dress shoes I buffed them backup to s shine. The product is a light colour so if you get some in a seam of a dark leather shoe you really need a toothbrush to get it out. After treating my boots I went out in the snow and wet snow just beaded off the shoe. Worked very well and I like that it has no fumes and is water based. It says wax but it really is not a wax it is more of a paste a little thicker than toothpaste.

Have used for years. Does the job and provides good protection.
