For the person who wrote a negative review about the missing battery cover, these DO NOT come with the cover. I have purchased these from a Chinese Market before and this is normal on the ceramic ones. If you look at the description with photos you will see that, they are nice for the price and last a very long time if taken care of.

This item works as described. However, the hand motion does make a little noise but it’s not a big issue The appearance is a little bit rough. Overall, I think it’s cute and the price is OK,

Cute and works fine. It’s just noisy. I believe the mechanism inside is too big for it. It keeps hitting on the inside walls. Maybe a larger size cat would for be better?’

Just had the urge one night to buy a waving cat.Always kinda wanted one.Apparently it's a beckoning cat (but it waives) and it's meant to bring good luck and invite customers in:-)So I put it in my house:-/If your a bloke like me maybe leave it out of the front window just incase.But I love it, it's really quiet, same cheap batteries that came with it are still going strong a couple of months on.It doesn't have an on/off switch or battery cover but doesn't bother me and I think the dodgy painting just adds to the effect.Recommend buying early hours after a 'good' evening because u will have forgot you ordered it and it will make you smile when it turns up.....lol
