FunkoPop! Dr. Seuss - Grinch Grow Your Heart Card Game

We are avid game players in my house. We have two teens, 15 and 18. This is our favorite holiday game. First of all, it’s the Grinch, I mean who doesn’t love the Grinch?! This game is super simple and fun and doesn’t take long to play. It reminds us a lot of Yahtzee, which we love too. It’s mostly a game of luck so anyone can win, even younger kids. If you like the Grinch and games like Yahtzee, I definitely recommend this for your family.

I read the directions a couple times because they’re a LITTLE confusing, but once I tried it out it made perfect sense. My family loved playing this game before Christmas

Excellent, best of all the Funko Christmas game line. Set collection game that narrows over the round. Every player will be the Grinch at least once and has the ability to steal from players discard piles. You can only score set collections one time each so choose wisely. I love the bonus at the bottom of the card and it is very satisfying if you can pull it off. Luck of the draw is always there but I've played it enough times now to try a house rule of having cards face up in the center to draw from. Well done, a Holiday Gem and therefore, a keeper.

We gave these cards as a gift to the biggest Grinch fan we know (honestly, he has probably seen the movie 100+ times). The gift was a hit! We have all enjoyed playing the game as a family. It's a bit similar to Yahtzee for the fact that you need to collect certain card combinations each round. You pick which one you want to work on each round. The game is fun, too since each person gets to be "The Grinch" and steal cards from others. We'd recommend this!

We played with a group of 6 and had a lot of fun. It was very easy to learn.

This is a fun game but the rules and scoring are difficult for young ages. This game says it’s for ages 6 and up. I bought this in hopes that it would hit all age ranges of my kids 5-11, but my 9 year old had trouble understanding it. It was out of the question for my 5 year old. My 11 year old caught on pretty quick. Even though it was difficult to learn it was very fun to play!

Awesome game. Yahtzee style game in card form. Clever game that anyone can play

Purchased as a gift for a family with young children and they love it. A great little holiday game!

Taking time to write this in response to multiple reviews claiming it’s “confusing” I can somewhat understand how some non-gamers might feel this way upfront, but I strongly disagree.It’s actually a very simple game.Of all these little Funko Xmas games I’d say it is the the best so far for actual game play and mechanics.How to play:You start with 2 cards.You always draw 2 and discard 1 from your hand. you do this 3x in a round. So you end up with a 5 card hand to score. Players always draw from the deck unless you are the grinch (each player gets one round as the grinch) who can also choose to draw from the top of players discard piles.Objective:The cards are divided into 4 colours (green, yellow, blue & pink) with values 1-6.You can score each colour (total value of your cards of 1 colour in hand)You can also score a rainbow (highest card value of each colour in hand) You can score a 4 or 5 card run (1,2,3,4,5 etc)Finally you can score a set (x3/4/5 cards of the same #)Colour does not matter for runs or sets.Some cards also offer a bonus of 5 or 10 points for having another colour card in your hand.Summary:There are 7 ways to score (4 colours, rainbow, run, set) plus the bonuses. You can only score each thing once. So as the game progress your options on what to go for become more limited.This is all clearly and easily tracked on the score pad included.Overall for a light Christmas themed card game this one is a winner.

Not the easiest game for 8-9 year olds to play independently. It's ok, but I don't love it.
