Infinite baffle setup + 2 Skar 10" = Perfection
Skar has won me over. This is not my first (or even 10th) pair of subs. I wanted to make my first infinite baffle setup in a 73 Mach 1 Mustang. Keeping the trunk clean/empty was a big priority for me.These 10" subs have specifications that are formidable for an infinite baffle build, and the price is just right. After breaking in, I finally got a good listen. Wow! I have the SAME exact subs in a sealed box, with the same class D amp, and it hits. But setup as infinite baffle, I really hear the "musical" side if things.I'm impressed. I find these 10" speakers to be very versatile. They are well built, and have a very formidable price. The quality of the sound they put out, is very much up to the signal, the amp, the box, and how it's all set up.My car is covered from front to back in kilmat, including the roof and trunk. I run a JVC head unit, to a Rockville 8 Channel class D amp as bridged, feeding about 180 watts RMS. Sounds amazing.

Perfect replacement for home theater sub.
Blew out my Yamaha powered theater sub and rather than invest in a new one decided to replace the speaker. The Skar is perfect. The quality/ design of the speaker is excellent. The low end bass is fast, responsive, hits and its not punchy. I actually prefer it to the Yamaha. Reading what other dudes are doing to replace blown out $500 and up home theater subs online and in forums was a bit much. Regardless if it was fixing them or dropping major dough on a new one. Folks like to complicate stuff. If your electronics /amp etc are working just replace the sub. Find a good brand like Skar that will deliver a quality and hard hitting sub without breaking the bank. Car subs work perfectly with home subs. Match your size, ohms, and choose a sub that has at least a Frequency Response Range 26 Hz or lower. The lower the better to hit that low end movie /music bass frequency.FRR is important. Anything higher is going to sound like mids or a tweeter. Even though I was replacing a 10in with a 10in the Skar was slightly larger than the Yamaha. I used a combo of a dremel and sandpaper on the sub box to enlarge the hole by sanding evenly in a clockwise motion etc to get a snug fit and it was on. EVERLASTING BASS!

Digs Deep!
This is a great sub not for the price but at any price! I'm pushing it with about 250 watts rms in a ported box I built with 1.2 cu-ft air space and a 3" port 11.5" long which tunes the box to 36hrz. It get low and gets plenty loud in my little Corolla. Great product!

Best value in class most likely
FOLLOW SKAR'S BREAK IN DIRECTIONS! I suspect the people who have blown up these subs didn't read the directions. That being said: I've owned these for about a year now and am really still astounded with the sound sometimes. Playing mostly old school metal and death metal through them. Those low-mid frequencies can really distort a bad sub and these perform admirably. I'm running a Blaupunkt AMP7502 to them full range, eq'd and crossovered at the head unit. These will only shake your car windows, not the neighbors'. If you are looking for good low end fidelity to really feel those double bass drums and some great sounding bass guitar, these are it. Also, they do very well with electronic music too. Very controlled, hard hitting low. But again, not going to break any spl records. Highly recommend for the cheapskate audiophiles.

This is what I expected a great sounding sub with good lows and that is what I got but make sure you brake it in

You simply won't find a better sub for the money
I bought four of these subs, for home theater. Awesome subs. if considering building your own subs? these will do an even better job than well-known far higher-priced subs. These four subs are wired at 4 ohms and connected to a Crown XLS 1002 as a subwoofer amp. you would be highly impressed with the results even when compared to much higher-priced subs at a pro level.save yourself the headache and DIY subs with enormous power and super great deep bass.Highly recommended.

Good So far
Just got it so I'm in the break in period but it sounds pretty good and covers the bass down to 30h decently at @200w 1/2 volume.. it's replacing a 30yr Kenwood that was abused so it has some big shoes to fill..lol.. will update when it goes full throttle...6 wks and Well it blew but it did sound really good and it was probably the best sub but... Voice coils burnt..
