To be fair I gave it 5 stars because it works as described. They stay off the couch for the first time in years. You must spray every day for it to work. But for the first hour the smell is atrocious. Like headache-inducing, gagging, bad smell. It gets in the air and has started to make the lower kitchen cabinet -- where are napkins are -- smell awful. Didn't notice until I went to wipe my mouth during dinner and let's just say I had a strong reaction. Napkins have been tossed (and new ones stored somewhere else now) but at least they leave the couch alone. But beware the smell...

I have 6 cats and two males who are white have decided to lounge on the green pool table. I have use all kinds of products nothing works. They still enjoy a good nap and leave a ton of hair. So I said what the heck and will try Four Paws Keep Off. This works. Cleaned the area again of the cat hair, sprayed this on the table and said well lets see. Guess what it works. No cat hair. I have sprayed the table 3 times a week and they have avoided it like the plague. Get it, it works...

This stuff works for my 3 cats and 2 dogs. No scolding, chasing. I reapply every 2-3 days. A liight spraying does the trick. There is a very faint smell when initially sprayed, but as soon as it evaporates, the smell is not noticeable (except to the critters). I’ve bought other, more expensive sprays that did not work. This works for me, as long as I spritz it every other to every 3 days. I use it on my dining room tablecloth, upholstered dining chair seats, and on one particular leather sofa. No stains, no smell, no fur!

After volunteering to TNR (trap neuter and return) cats for many years I decided to keep 11 of them.My veterinarian recommended this product. I spray some on a paper towel and place it where ever it is needed.

I have a very fluffy cat and she drops hair just by walking. Always tries to sleep on my couch. I end up vacuuming it several times a day. I sprayed the couch with this heavy and then every night give a light spray and so far she's not even jumping on it!! It has a slight odor which is why I do it at night before bed. But its gone as soon as the product dries. Not sure if it would have helped with using a couch as a scratch post(don't have that issue) but it definitely has helped keep it fur free

Runs my kittens right away from the area. You’ll need to re spray every few days or so. Pleasant botanical scent. Doesn’t stain or change the texture of my furniture.
