Installed a bunch on desks to hide the cables going from and to my computers. No complaints thus far. I did not use it to install on an outlet box so I cannot comment on that application.

This brush plate has good and bad quality. The brushes are good quality and do exactly what they are supposed to do. After attaching the brushes inner section to the box, you need to screw the cover plate to the brush insert holes. These holes are untapped. I had to take it all a part and tap the female threads for the cover screws. BE CAREFUL not to over tighten the cover screws. The holes that you tap the females threads is made of very soft plastic (poor quality). So it is easily stripped. They will then need to be replaced

I had been considering purchasing expensive plates that had 2 HDMI cables and a usb cable. This setup was going to require 3 cables per jack in order to keep wires from being seen on the wall of our entertainment center. Then I found this pair of wall plates with brushes that allows me to only use a single long cable for each connection. I can also place additional cables besides 2 hdmi and 1 usb for my setup. To install I cut 2 small 1 inch by 2 inch rectangles into my drywall and used the included anchors for the screws to fasten the plate to the wall. This makes our wall look so clean with no wires from the tv to the cabinet.

I ended up return these plates because I feel the brush looks really cheap, and my local HD or Lowe’s has better and cheaper choice
