Did anyone test this out when they designed it? The scratchy velcro is against your forehead. Also, it doesn't fit as snug as the others but possibly because I was trying to adjust the straps to minimize how much of the scratchiness was hitting my face...

The are strong and durable but the chin strap is made of a very harsh velcrow backing material. It really cuts into the soft skin under the chin/neck. Imagine a velcrow sneaker strap under your chin. Don't shave before wearing. Otherwise the ear pieces are soft outside for your opponent but solid.

I have all the other types of ear protection. This is the only type that I find works well for BJJ.A little small for my big head. They should make more than one adult size.

It does not stay tight. The hard ear cushions are uncomfortable

Many wrestling items are hard to find, and expensive when you come across them in certain sports stores. This item, which I bought for my 15-year old grandson, who's in his first year of wrestling, is well made and well priced -- he loves it!
