I have this set up in my living room and sleep in it every night. Really good price and quality product! Very comfortable!UPDATE: i’ve had the Hamic for almost one year and use it every night as my full-time bed. It has greatly reduced my back pain and is super comfortable! There was some fraying that started happening, and when I told the company about it, they said they are sending me out a brand new one.This company has exceptional customer service. They get back within minutes and work to resolve any issues. Five stars!

I bought this hammock for my boyfriend for his birthday, and he and I both think I made a really good purchase.Price: $63 dollars might seem like a lot for a hammock, but compared to other ones being sold on Amazon (and REI, where I originally went), that's actually pretty damn cheap.Weight limit: I'm not a small girl, and my boyfriend is not a small man. With the weight limit at 652 lbs, we BOTH got in the hammock and sat there. No creaking, no popped cords. Some of the hammocks (even some of the more expensive ones) have a much lower weight limit, and while that's fine if you're thinner, I honestly like knowing that I could sleep with a car bumper in the hammock if I so chose.Size: This hammock is wide. I'm nearly 6'0, and I could sit horizontally in it. I usually lay diagonally in it if I'm napping though. Also, the hammock is a lot longer than most hammocks. You'll need a larger area to hang it, so be aware of that.The strings are firm and seem to be really well made. There's a ton of them woven together, so even though it looks like a light hammock, it's very, very strong. The coloring is really bright (I got the "cool" type). I honestly really love this hammock, and I love taking naps in it because I can lay diagonally in it (and be a little "flatter" rather than be laying in a "U" shape)

This is, by far my favorite hammock, soft, comfortable, breathable, excellent value, excellent service. Service from this provider was outstanding! Just what you are looking for in a professional. Really happy I ordered from them. Would highly recommend them to anyone. It was an added bonus that you could chose your color preference (didn't see that offered by other providers). The hammock we got is visually very appealing (vivid colors) and it is soft and comfortable as can be! Two people (probably more) can lounge together in this hammock. Love it! The only downside is the cotton hammocks do fade (most things do in the summer sun) so I ordered another product from Amazon to protect it from the UV rays (only wish I had done that sooner). If you are not a fan of the hard-rope hammocks (or the kind that block the breeze) THIS is the way to go!Update: The hammock did not hold up very well and tore within the first 6 weeks or so. To be fair it might have been a side-effect of the spray treatment for UV? I'm hesitant to order another one.

I've been using the central/south american style of hammock for years and I never had any reason to complain. The "spreader bar" hammocks were clearly designed to have a bed-like look without any concern for comfort, stability, or usability. These non-spreader hammocks cradle and wrap around you in a way that makes it pretty much impossible to fall out.Unfortunately, this design takes that idea a bit to far. The edges of the hammock are made to be shorter than the center (this was not seen or was extremely subtle in my previous two hammocks). The result is that when you lie in it, there is a 12-16 inch wall on either side of you that is darned near impossible to get out of without climbing to your knees in a swinging hammock. While it makes me nostalgic for my days doing slack rope in the circus, I doubt the average consumer would enjoy it.I'm in the process of trying to stretch out the edges to make it more usable.

I love my hammock! I have had mine for almost a year now. It is soooo comfy! I purchased the really large family hammock. I should have purchased a smaller one. Its alway just me in the hammock, so I have a lot of excess over lapping me when I lay horizontal. Its fine with me though. I use it as a blanket in cool evenings/mornings, or a mosquito net. :-) When I lay the correct way as pictured (vertically) it is just as comfy. Very sturdy & extrememly comfortable. It definitely feels as though you are laying on air. I took my hammock to our family lake vacation. Several of the older kids stayed in it & commented to their parents that they would like one.

I usually like to wait to write reviews to see how things actually work past the first day. I bought this hammock about a year ago, and it was fine for the first summer. Colors were bright, held me and my husband who is not a small man, the logistics of that were a bit difficult, it kept wanting to curl up around us, and we had to tie knots in the ends to left our butts up off the ground. It was good though, and we took it in for the winter so it wouldn't be out in cold weather. But its breaking now. Those bright colors are all faded from the sun, not color safe, and strings are popping like crazy. At first it was just a few on the end, but today when I sat in it, I went straight through. So you can use it for about 1 and half summers continuously, then its toast. Guess I'm springing for the more expensive one.

Its comfortable, but when I ordered I specifically looks for the length of sleeping area and it is not accurate.I am 6'6" tall and wanted the longest one possible. This barely fits me. I have to use a pillow because my head is past the bed area.Very delicate. Do not even go near this with any buttons or buckles on!its actually a 3.5 star

I haven't had this hammock long, but it is awesome! It is beautiful and brightly colored, as I would expect from Mexico, and shipped very quickly. I personally wouldn't get in this hammock wearing jeans that buttons on the back pockets, etc for fear of getting caught on one of the delicate looking ropes and pulling it, but otherwise, it seems to be a very strong hammock. I would definitely recommend this to everyone and will probably give as housewarming gifts in the future.
