I would highly recommend this book to any student of Christian history. It is incredible the knowledge of these writers who without the use of modern technology to source their findings must have spent ages of time collating these volumes from far and wide. Grattan uses particular deep insight into the workings of the Roman church in it's insatiable quest to regain control of it's lost kingdoms torn from it during the Reformation, he clearly outlines the Pagan influences that have wrought ruin on this church and confirms it as the great Antichrist power mentioned in Daniel and Revelation, using quotes from various sources over the last 1800 years one cannot helped but be amazed and the battle between truth and error, Christ and Satan through the churches and the men who stood for truth come what may. Such a pity these books are no longer published en masse and studied in the Protestant denominations today.

This is a Great Book for Any Protestant ( and Catholic ) to come to Understand why we should NEVER have Anything to do with the Roman Catholic Institute. It is UN Biblical in so Many ways that we would be much better of Distancing ourselves from this Abominable Pagan Roman Catholic " Church " . Since the Days of the Reformation the JESUITS have been Busy Infiltrating Protestant Denominations and Falsifying Prophecy in Favor of the Roman " Mother of Harlots ". A Very Insightful Book that Shows the Deceptions that have Crept in to the Protestant Church, and that we Must remember WHO we Protested and Why we Should keep on Exposing her as a False Church. The Views of Early Protestantism are very Helpful and should still be Taught in Todays Church, Oecumenism is WRONG and an Abomination ! The Position of the Pope and Priests as " Intercessor " for the Believer is No Where to be Found in Scripture, and is Literally ; Taking the Place of Jesus Christ ( BLASPHEMY ). God wants a PERSONAL Relationship with the Believer, and Only in that Way One can be Truely Born Again. The Pope and Priest are Simple SINNERS just like Me and You : they need Jesus just as Much as You and I do ! They are Not " Intercessor " : Jesus Christ in the One and Only Intercessor between us and God. Not Mary, Not the RC Priest, Not the Pope. Come Out of her, God bless.

This is such an amazing book. The history alone is fascinating but having it tied into scripture and fulfillment of prophecy is a blessing we aren't receiving in today's modern era.

I just finished reading this book and would recommend it wholeheartedly. I also would recommend a couple of other books along the same line "70 Weeks" and ""The Present Reign of Jesus Christ" both written by Robert Caringola and available on Amazon. The second book is out of print and only available as a used book as far as I could find. Its worth what you have to pay to get it. If you are interested in truth and prophecy you need to read these 3 books. "The Present Reign of Jesus Christ" is a book about the book of Revelation in the Bible and is very comprehensive and goes through the entire book stating that Revelation is a history book detailing history from Jesus 1st time here on earth to his return. I have read several books now about what is called the "Historist" interpretation of prophecy especially in Revelation and Daniel 9, and it details Revelation as fulfilling certain events in history. A lot is written about the Reformation and what they believed especially about the identity of the anitchrist, which is different that we are being taught today. After having read about this in these 3 books and a couple of books about the Jesuits I have come to believe this is the correct understanding of Revelation and prophecy. You need to read these books. It will open your eyes to the false current teaching about prophecy and Christ's return. I won't go into more detail as others have already done this in their reviews. You just need to read them for yourself.

This book is suitable for those who have some history of Roman Catholicism and are prepared to read the gruesome details of how they have operated to take over the world. And it is a very moving experience to read it. Be prepared, it is not easy to read all of the hidden truths.

This view was widely held through history and is still held today.
