So far so good! I just received it, it took no time at all, I had it installed in less then 5 minutes, probably more like a minute. I didn't need to use a wench for mine, so that made the job very easy. I unscrew the shower head I put the plumbers tape on the end of the shower nozzle. just put it around a few times to make a good seal, then I did the part on the filter that sticks out. After that you just screw everything back in.I turned the water on and some of the black sediment came out, not much, I didn't even need to run for 5 minutes, the water was clear in seconds, the only really way I would have known was that some of it hit the shower wall. Other than that, I probably wouldn't have noticed.The filter feels firm, it is plastic but has that chrome type finish on it, and it is also on the inside, it looks nice.I didn't notice any leaking at all. As for the water pressure, which is one of the most important things, I can't tell if there is a difference, if there is it is only slight. My personal opinion is that my water pressure is low, it's not at the rate I would like it to be at so, I was afraid this would cause it to be even lower. It maybe, but not enough me to notice a difference. I am hoping that this will stop the build up on the shower head, so it doesn't get all nasty with hard water and that green stuff, that keeps coming back.So as I said, so far so good!Now I saw a Youtube video that a man got some filters, he didn't say the company, so I don't know who the filter manufacture was but he saw a video I guess on how water filters for showers don't reduce chlorine in your water. I am going to try to find out how to test that, if I can and do a before and after. I also learned on the same video or another, that there is chlorine and some else I believed was called monochloride or something like that, and that some filters will not filter out the second one. I would love to know if this filter does, if anyone has any feedback, and if anyone has tried testing the chlorine from the regular water and then with the filter? Would love to hear or see your results Well I am hoping that I can give an update in a few weeks on my experience with it and if I feel any change in the way my skin or hair reacts or doesn't react to this filter. Fingers Cross!Update: So I got this to remove chlorine, and I tried to test it, with some chlorine tester but neither my regular water or my water going through the filter showed any change with the liquid I used. I was a little disappointed not to see a difference, maybe I don't have enough chlorine in my water for it to resister with this particular solution I used. I might try again if I can find a bran that I know will show me a difference. I also tested my water PH it came in between 7-8 with or with out the filter. The filter doesn't claim to change the PH of the water but I was curious. So for anyone who is interested in knowing if it has any influence on your waters PH, I would have to tell you that I didn't see a difference. I got a new shower head, and I can finally say that using a good shower head with this filter, doesn't seem to cause any problems with water pressure which is awesome. I will hopefully give another review in about 6 months if I remember to let you know about hard water problems and if it seems to help any. So far, I can't seem to test anything, so I will have to wait and see, and feel after a few weeks, and tell by my experience.

Will only cover instillation here.Did some research and found out the reason my skin is feeling sticky after a shower might be because my water has stuff in it that I can easily filter out. So I went into researching solutions and stumbled on this unit on Amazon on sale. I have city water so already my water is pretty clean I would imagine, but that doesan't mean there isn't room for improvement. I can't comment on this fully yet as I just got the unit today and installed it but I do have some notes on installation.--Installation--The unit comes with two clear rings/gaskets that you are going to use. One goes between the filter and your shower outlet and the other between the unit and your shower head. You will likely use them both especially if you lose somehow the original gasket for your shower head during this installation.Now they do include a rather generous amount of plumbers tape with this unit. I was wondering why until I turned the unit on and it started leaking from the unit itself. So I unscrewed the unit where the filter is and wrapped the threads with the plumber tape and screwed it back together again. I would think that I would not need to do this because it has a giant o-ring that is supposed to prevent this but whatever I did it. Now the unit when on doesn't leak from around the center of the unit anymore. I would've deducted a star for this if the package didn't have the plumbers tape included with it.Overall installation was easy honestly. And aside from the little minor leak that I resolved with the included tape the unit seems to function fine. We will see it it performs over time in about a month or so. But I figured writing a review for installing it couldn't hurt.

For the past two years I was using a competitors brand that I purchased through Amazon. Although when it worked it did a great job, and the water felt clean; it was constantly breaking. I love this product and recommend it to everyone!The only negative, which isn't much of a negative, was for first time use. Be sure to let water run through the filtration system to activate the charcoal layer of the product. This will get rid of the black cloudy water, and be ready to go! You'll know what I'm referring to if you use the filtration water systems that are basically a two piece water pitcher. Anyway, like I said, this is not a big deal. More of an extra step for install. Please try this product if you are looking for a water filtration for your shower. You'll be very satisfied!
