Great tool for carving wood!
The Tuntrol Rotary Flex Shaft Hanging Grinder is a workhorse. With the right bits it hogs off wood like slicing butter. Short learning curve on how to work your way up to the line. I've had no issues with the enclosed foot pedal. I'd recommend this grinder to anyone carving wood.

Broken Part. Great service.
OOPs ! The inner drive cable uncoupled from the end drive pin on first operation. A spare in the box....thank you. the vendor responded quickly, sent another, and all is well. The tool is great. Powerful, quiet. It has a Jacobs chuck head, and adjusts up to 1/4 inch. Some other units are only 5/32.

So far so good
Been using the TUNTROL Rotary Tool for a few weeks now. I use it, cumulatively, about 1.5 hours each day to grind soft metal, large solder joints, small welded and brazed parts, and for micro-routing exotic and hardwoods using micro-bits. So far the motor has performed quite well, never heating up or bogging down under load. The 22,000 max rpm could be higher, to provide optimal service, but is acceptable for most applications. The shaft works every bit as well as the big-name equivalent, just make sure to lubricate and maintain it PROPERLY. Look it up or ask if you don't know how. The pedal is just plain cheap. Don't be fooled by "plastic is better" BS. I still have the cheap-o plastic foot pedal. In the wrapper, in its box. It works, but invest in a good quality metal foot pedal, for about $40 or so, and you'll bring this motor to life, AND be able to use it to control other motors in your shop as well!

Shaft broke first day
Shaft broke first day put in the extra flex shaft it lasted two days just garbage

Pretty ok
The pedal control is great. To be honest I didn’t know anything like this existed. I bought this to port a saw. If a dremel took steroids this is that product. I’m giving it a four star only because I bought the cheapest one I could find. Maybe it’s the best, I don’t know though. Great product so far, with about two hours of use. Again I’m below an amateur with these hulk dremels, but I’m impressed so far. I would like to see a US company make something similar in quality. I’ll pay more for US made!!!
