BMW R1200 dohc (10 - 12) Haynes Repair Manual (Paperback)

Over the past decades, I have always relied upon Haynes manuals for my various rolling stuff. In this particular case, this Haynes manual actually does a better job than the $300 BMW R1200R DVD and a $25 aftermarket maintenance DVD. The layout is logical, descriptions concise, and photos clear and demonstrative.I have always done my own maintenance and repair, but realize lots of folks cannot do so, or just don't wish to. Even though an owner may not perform their own maintenance and repair, I feel every owner should at least peruse the Haynes manual for their specific transportation vehicles to enable them to better understand their machine, better convey difficulties to their repair/maintenance person...and best of all...develop the necessary Zen to truly enjoy their wheels! Oh, and by the way...the R1200R really rocks!

The exact information needed that I found to be helpful supplementing the manufacturer's repair manual on disc. Although picture and paper quality is not as clear as I would have liked it did the job.

The Haynes manuals are the defacto standard if you don't have a factory manual. The pictures are excellent and no details are spared which makes for easy repairs. I've got a Haynes manual for all my vehicles so I'm not as the mercy of a dealership.

Handy Reference for shade tree service

The USA has been waiting quite a while for the Haynes Camhead manual. Here it is, just in time for the Wethead (watercooled) motor which is destined to replace it. Having said that, it's nice to finally get this book on this side of the pond. My F650GS manual is grease stained and well used, I expect this one will be as well...

This book has already paid for itself by giving me the information I need to maintain my 1200GS, perfect for garage mechanics. My shop will still do the heavy lifting but now I have the information to do the simple stuff

For some reason this book seems hard to find- I felt fortunate to come across it. The Hexhead book is common but not the one for the Camheads. Anyhow, the book is great.

Un buon libro utile ovviamente a chi fa la manutenzione a tutto tondo del proprio mezzo. Le foto non sono sempre veramente chiare (e sono in bianco e nero), mi ricorda un po' i manuali degli anni '90 ed oggi gli avrei dato una rimodernata.Spiegazioni abbastanza chiare (a volte occorre un po' di immaginazione). Ci sono anche Consigli generici sparsi qua' e la che non guastano in caso uno non lo conoscesse già. Nel complesso consigliato anche se come detto migliorabile. Darei 3.5 stello

I have this online as well as in the book form. I find the book is so much better to use. I would recommend it to anyone who desires to do there own repairs.
