Great cream
Nivea is my favorite everything cream but I mostly use it on my face as a thick night cream. Apparently the difference between the American and German version isn’t as much as I first believed but the German version does include a couple more moisturizing ingredients. My grandparents used to always bring back the German version when they came to visit so I’d swear it’s a little different! Overall would recommend

Will my skin look radiant or like a heavily used paper bag...
As someone who swore by tatcha for the past couple years, finding this was like “aaaaahhhhh” the angelic “aaaaaahhhhh” not like “aaaahhhhh real monsters”, which was a great show look it up.Anyway...I recently ran out of my pricey moisturizer and with not having the funds (thanks a lot covid) I had to find a replacement. There is a lot of chatter on the internet about “German” and make sure it’s “German”...lo and he old it is here, the back is German as far as I can tell it’s made in Germany. So I’m really hoping it lives up to the hype. Also the feeling of it in the container is really not what I imagined it’s quite thick but...bouncy? The smell is pleasant it’s not too overwhelming. I do enjoy the texture on my fingers I will say upon first application it does have quite the dewy appearance, so this may be a nighttime only thing. Or maybe I won’t slather it on my face with excitement in the morning.I’m not a beauty blogger or anyone in the know...but I’ll be sure to write back if my skin is radiant or looks like heavily used paper bag in a few weeks. If it looks radiant I’ll be sure to share what serums I’m using as well...or maybe I won’t...the competition is fierce when you are in lockdown.

and am so very pleased to have the authentic Nivea in my hands
Shalom from Germany, Thank you from Germany store for the genuine Nivea Creme! I recently bought some here in the US and immediately knew something was not right, and that's when the search began. I purchased from your store, from Germany, and am so very pleased to have the authentic Nivea in my hands. Upon applying your creme, I was happy to note that it is not greasy like ours here in the States! I was a shiny, grease ball walking around thinking, something is just not right with this! Your package arrived way before the stated date to boot! A happy customer here for sure.*Please note that this is not the ship from Hungary store that I am seeing linked to my review. My product was purchased-- from Germany --- store.

Pleasantly surprised!
Prior to purchasing Nivea, I was planning on getting La Mer at the tune of hundreds of dollars!! Then when I found out that Nivea and La Mer contain the same ingredients, I obviously chose Nivea being it's so reasonable. The reason I also chose the one from Germany is because it doesn't contain one particular ingredient that can cause serious side effects. I'm surprised La Mer uses it. That ingredient is methyliosthiazlione and another one just like it, almost the same spelling, which I'm not sure if I even spelled it right. This ingredient is found in a lot of products, including baby products. Why, I don't know. It sent my sister to the hospital with the worse rash possible....and I'm putting that mildly. She was on antibiotics for some time. Now she has to read everything before buying. Anyway, so far I'm really liking Nivea and I've already noticed it's done wonders for my skin. I just use it on my face in the evening. I swear my upper lip lines have almost disappeared!! I'm 72 years old. I also purchased the lighter one for day use. Ladies, you've gotta try it!

German Made Version is Dupe for La Mer
The German version is nothing like the Mexican version sold in U.S. stores. It is thick and luxurious, and smells wonderful. I can use it all over my eyelids, face and lips with absolutely no irritating or allergic side effects. I have very sensitive skin on face and battle nasal and eye allergies. My skin cannot handle any basic drugstore or luxury department store face creams. Always cause stinging or itching on face and runny eyes. Nivea is the only thing I can put on my skin. Have used for decades, since childhood (before Amazon, my mother had her German brother ship it to us).

I'm a believer
Tl;dr American Nivea good, German Nivea way better.I've been using American Nivea for decades, and love it. I bought this little tin of the German version mainly out of curiosity, figured I'd have the tin for my purse if I didn't like it.The first thing I noticed is the milder scent. Barely there. Even though I'm a little sensitive to fragrance, I've always liked the American fragrance, but given the choice, less perfume is definitely better. The second thing I noticed is that my skin drank the German lotion straight in. Immediately. With the American Nivea, my skin stays a bit greasy for a while, so that if I want to knit anytime in the next half hour, I use a different lotion. Not so with the German. I would have no problem working any yarn or fiber, because my hands are silky smooth, not greasy at all. Finally, I would never dream of putting American Nivea on my face, but I just used this German one for face cream, and it is perfect! It's going to be my new night cream. I'm so glad I found this!

Buy this.
Don't hesitate, this cream is amazing. It's thick, luxurious, and super hydrating. I use it on my face, legs, hands, cuticles, my children...you name it. Super purchase, I wish it came in bath-tub size. It leaves me feeling hydrated not greasy and oily as some thicker face creams can. Though I've never tried Le Mer, I can only assume it's similar. Warming it up first in your palm makes it a tad easier to apply, but usually I just go straight to my face and rub it in. It's great.

The Nivea I had grown up with!
Always liked Nivea. It is as natural to me as soap and water. If we went sledding our cheeks and noses were protected with Nivea, if we went into the sun we were protected with Nivea, a scraped knee? Let it heal, then give it another healing boost with Nivea. It was always in the house. The fragrance is very neutral. I was happy to find the original, the Made in Germany Nivea; do not know what is different about it, it feels richer.

Thick, greasy, wonderful!
Many don't like such a heavy cream but I feel like this thick layer ensures that any other product is really properly absorbed. I love it and don't find it too greasy at all, I love the glow it gives me and it does feel thick enough that if I get dry anything this winter I'll use it on that too!!

Decepcionada
Decepcionada!!

Made in Turkey not made in Germany
Happy to have received Nivea from Europe - but I expected this to be made in Germany, as advertised. I purchased 4 for that reason. I hope this version will live up to the one that I absolutely love.
