My grandson is 1 and has been walking since 9 months. These little shoes are very comfortable for him. He has super chunky baby ankles/feet and most shoes just make him uncomfortable. These are more like house slippers. The velcro strap is long enough that its easily adjustable to his little fat feet. These don't slide off his heels and they are wide enough that his toes are not pinched. Price point is great and I have washed /dried these without any damages.

The reviews that said these are big were not kidding. My son is 10 months and has huge feet. He wears size 4 shoes and his feet are super chunky. In fact, all of him is super big and chunky- he's the height and weight of the average 2 year old. So when I saw these shoes and the reviews and the sizing recommendations I decided to go with the 12-18 month size. That's a size smaller than I would have ordered in another kind of shoe. Well, they are still huge. Like they won't even stay on his feet and there is about 3/4 of an inch at the end. They are super cute, though, and wide so they should work well for his chunky feet- in another 6 months. I decided to keep the pair I have and order the 6-12 month size. Hopefully they fit better. If they don't fit I will update my review, if I don't update then you'll know that a size 6-12 months fits like a size 4.

Our grandson turning one this month in March... standing up now and will be walking soon...needed a couple of starter shoes and these fit the bill perfectly....a little big right now but will grow into them as expected...

These are a bit bigger, so buy a size smaller if your child is smaller than avg. I bought the regular size first and am saving them for when my child is ready to use them. The smaller size bought later fit like a glove. Very good quality for the price point. I bought the second pair for my toddler in April, still working in September. I had previously purchased a high end brand with leather material, that started breaking apart in less than 15 days of usage. Very happy with these.

Great starter shoe, it is a little bigger for my 13 month old, but it’s probably hard to get a size right for them, so the range works, just tighten the straps. The great part is it’s easy to get on and off. The bad part is my son can get them off. Overall, I bought two pairs and happy I did.

All I can say is that I wish they made shoes like this in my size. They feel comfortable inside, and it's easy and fast to put on my daughter's feet. (She kicks a lot, and I mean a lot.) Surprisingly, companies don't seem to make many hard-soled velcro shoes anymore. That, or I'm looking in all the wrong places. It was great that I found these which look as comfortable as they are. My kiddo doesn't seem to mind them and walks in them more than if she was barefoot.I got the 6-12 month size and it fits my daughter at 9 months old perfectly. Unlike a lot of hard-soled infant shoes I've found, there are actually grips (not just a flat surface) on the sole, so I don't have to worry about her slipping on tile, wood, or linoleum. A nice and definite plus.

I went to amazon after paying a ridiculous amount in a kids' shop for baby kicks. These ones have the velcro I like, the pull-tab at the heel, and the hard but not inflexible bottom for my walker. He loves his "shoes"! These show the dirt fast because they're cloth, but they've been great and are holding up fine. He'll probably outgrow them before they wear out and he wears them every day.
