Step up!
We needed a small railing for both of our Lanai's .... so we got the first one and it was perfect, so we bought another one.

Just what we wanted
My husband and I have been looking to have a railing installed for safety reasons. We didn't want to spend a lot of money so when we saw this we knew it was perfect. We had a friend who does outdoor decks install it. He purchased some longer bolts to drill into our concrete and that did the trick. Easy job for him, about 30 minutes. We totally love it; looks beautiful and provides peace of mind going in and out of our front door and down our two steps!

Nice quality
Instructions weren’t the greatest, but I’ve installed several brands of these bars, and this seems to be the sturdiest.

Very Sturdy Metal 3 Step Handrail
After I completed the installation of this 3 step black metal handrail in the center of the 6 foot wide wooden steps attached to my deck, it looks good, matches the deck rails and it is very sturdy. I gave it only 4 stars because the directions are vague and the black paint will scratch. To protect the paint I laid the handrail out on a blanket to put the four main pieces together. Also, instead of using the bright metaI washers in the package I substituted with black plastic washers for use with the flat head screws that were provided to attach the center and top rails to the posts. Tip: attach both the top and center pieces to the posts leaving the screws slightly loose to allow for adjustments while placing the handrail in the desired position on the steps. Using a level adjust each post for plumb. Mark the locations for the base pilot holes to be drilled. Attach the base of the lower post first with 4 lag bolts into the pilot holes. To allow for adjustments do not completely tighten the base down. If it is located near the riser on the next step up, leave room for the black metal base cover. So that the black metal base cover would completely fit over the attached post base, instead of using the metal washers provided in the package for the lag bolts, I substituted with a smaller diameter split compression washer. Check the top step post for plumb then drill the four pilot holes and attach the post base with the lag bolts. Tighten down all of the lag bolts plus the screws used to attach the center and top rails to the posts. Attach the black metal base covers then stand back and admire your work. One person should be able to complete the installation in less than 2 hours.

Provided drill bit was warped
The drill bit provided for installing the railing to the cement steps were warped. I did not notice initially but after using it to prep holes the cement attachments would not fit properly and the railing was loose. Then I noticed the warped drill. This happened on two drills from this supplier
