The Norton Introduction to Literature

Needed it for school.
Renting this for school. The book came shrink wrapped and was in perfect condition when I got it. Fairly decent price for a rental for the semester. I only needed this for one class and the rental process on Amazon, and the price were both very helpful and easy to use.

Low quality of paper
Can see previous pages since the paper for this book are so thin. Very distracting when you are trying to read. The paper is super thin and fragile, so good luck keeping it in good shape renting it!

A review specifically on the quality of the paperback
I don't know if this is due to cost cutting measures or what is going on over at Norton, but this is the most delicate and fragile book I've ever held. The pages in this book are genuinely thinner than tissue paper. The pages are so thin, that I can see like 3 pages worth of text through them. Every time I touch a page, it crinkles. I wish I had just bought the ebook instead.

A step back for Norton
As an English professor required to use this textbook, I'm disappointed in both our selection of textbook and Norton for allowing this update I'll be supplementing greatly in order to allow for classic and meaningful texts.

Dropping Important Writers and Texts
This edition drops Arthur Miller and T.S. Eliot(!) altogether and replaces Hamlet with Othello.
