With this, you never have to change the filters or the aquarium water. Simply feed the fish 3-6x/week and top off with water 1-2x/month. We recommend you to never change the aquarium water. About the Startup Describe your product in 3 words. Lowest Maintenance Aquarium How did you come up with the idea for this product? We're a team of aquarium enthusiasts and have been our entire lives. While doing research at the largest aquaponics farm in the nation, we learned we could use basil to filter the fish waste. With the same method, aquaponics uses 90% less water grows food 2x as fast in 1/2 the space with no pesticides or fertilizers. We spent years to perfectly implement aquaponics into an aquarium creating the ecoqube, the lowest maintenance aquarium ever. What makes your product special? The Aquaponics system makes owning a fish easier than a conventional fish tank. The fish's waste is used by the basil plant to grow and elminates the need for a water change. Low maintenance tank so far
EcoQube C Aquarium - Desktop Betta Fish Tank With UV Sterilizer For Living Office And Home Décor Added a basil plant that was already sprouted, one koi beta fish, one small rabbit snail and spiny nerite snail, and driftwood and several live plants and live culture bacteria from a fish store. It's only been a couple of days but so far so good!

Truly too good to be true
Truly too good to be true. A functioning ecosystem is a delicate balance and this product is nearing impossible to establish, let alone maintain. It's very accurate that the plant must be established before any aqua life is transferred into the tank. The only only problem is, if any of the inhabitants die (the plant dying is especially devastating) the rest aren't fare behind. Establishing a new plant while there's a any kind of other life in the tank is impossible due to algae growth. I loved the concept but after almost a year to trying to get it to work, I'm calling it quits. A very expensive time suck!

Hydroponics, amazing design, works fantastic - HAPPY FISH!
Forgot how much I love having fish as pets...gave it up because I dislike having to clean the tank and stress the fish in the process. This hydroponic tank is fantastic!! I have had it for over a month and the water is still crystal clear because the plant cleans the fish waste. Only thing I would offer is that it is better to start with a mint plant or live basil if you can get it (the seedlings were a challenge at best). Also - if you do not heat your house to over 70 degrees, the website has an excellent heater to add to the tank. I have 4 of these now - they are amazing!! One is mounted on a "floating" wall shelf and the centerpiece of my kitchen.I even installed one in my husband's office. No way I would have done this without the hydroponic component as he does not have time to clean the tank. The reduction in his blood pressure is worth the cost of having a happy fish in a tank to look at during the stressful work day!!

It came and at first I was upset because the UV filter was broken... I messaged them and they actually replaced it with no issues or questions. The tank honestly was fine with out the filter, and it is seriously the center piece of my home office!

Really great product!!
Really great product. It may seem a bit pricey, but is well worth every penny of it. Follow all instructions, watch the online videos, ask questions with customer service (they respond quickly), and you will have a terrific experience with your EcoQube C. My water is always crystal clear, and I must admit, I probably spend too much time just looking at it. Plants, shrimp, snails and fish are all doing well, and I couldn't be more pleased. I love my EcoQube C and definitely recommend it. One very satisfied customer here!! Thank you ADI for the experience.

Pump failed after 4 days. Fish and plants in tank. Hoping company will provide swift resolution so as not to kill off livestock.*As a testament to their excellent customer service, I have received a replacement unit and it arrived a day after alerting Amazon to the issue. I have also been duly impressed with the responsiveness and great customer service from the company itself. ADI customer service is fantastic and quick to answer questions and correct issues. My one star review has now jumped to a five. The aquarium is running and looks fantastic.

Always missing something!

I bought the EcoQube C with UV LED sterilizer about a week ago and it was missing the EcoQube but it did send me the sand and the rock that goes in the center but broken. I returned it and today they send me the EcoQube but no sand, rock or the glass cover. I am tired of this little game. Can they just sent me what I am missing?! Send me what I paid for! And now my friend tells me I am missing more pieces than what I thought I was. I missing the sterilizer. I supposedly have a piece of it for missing another piece.

My pump went again.. Now this getting a little ridiculous because this is the second time..I m thinking just throwing it because it's upset me so much that I paid that kinda of money and this 2 time with issues on that pump..
