This is an excellent obsidian gua sha in the popular heart shape. If you follow the belief that obsidian draws out negative energy, you'll be happy with this massage stone. If you are not into stone,crystal energies and properties, you'll appreciate the appearance and tactile aspects of the noir gua sha.It is polished to a nice shine, with accompanying smooth surface. It's a good thickness, and a good weight. The contour of the gua sha has rounded, smooth edges. Whether using lotions, creams, oils, or just using the bare stone for massage, the stone has the typical curves and rounded points to credibly perform.Attached are photos to show real world images, with a ruler for size reference.Close examination of the stone found no defects or flaws. There were no scratches, nicks or rough patches found on the stone's classy looking surface.A fabric drawstring pouch is included to store, transport this attractive, obsidian gua sha.Overall, the gua sha is exactly as described and pictured in the product details. It met expectations. Personally, I'm glad to see gua sha being marketed using different source materials (other than the popular, usual aventurine and rose quartz, which I still appreciate and respect). I have been looking at these for awhile now but I really wanted a black one as green is not my color, LOL. Vain, I know. So I jumped on this product and I am glad I waited. This is not only a stunning piece but functional and quality.The piece itself is a very nice shiny black, It is obsidian in color but is not sharp or flake like real obsidian. The stone it thick, smooth, soft and easy to handle. every side of this piece fits a part of the face/body nicely and massages well.It has helped me with blood flow and also with minor knots in my neck and face muscles. It is a great item to have in your pocket/purse to use whenever you need a little extra relaxations.It says in the instructions, never to use this on dry skin. I do, I use it with just the natural oils my skin produces but also with lotion and oils. It think it works well either way, but I would caution you to follow the products instructions until you are comfortable.This is such a multi purpose tool and I love using it each day to help relax my facial stress. I think the price is great for the quality and the durability of the product. I would recommend this to friends and family.
