good quality mid-size beads
These beads are small enough to make necklaces & bracelets that "move," while the holes are large enough to easily thread. I added some colorful cord locks on the end of each string to keep the beads on and fasten when done. I also bought some longer shoe strings for making longer necklaces. The mesh bag is ample so the beads can be easily packed away. I think it will hold a second set. It came in the cute little gift box, too, which was a bonus. The coin is a US quarter to show the size. These are a Christmas present for my 3.5 year old grandson. He would definitely turn the larger, wooden beads into projectiles! One review mentioned it is difficult for young children to thread. I think a 2 inch piece of plastic straw or some tape wrapped around the end of the lace to stiffen it might help.

Great for 2-3’s
These are great. They’re not as big as the Melissa and doug lacing set (which my 2.25 year old had when she was just under 2) but now that she has more fine motor skills, this is a perfect size. It’s probably an intermediate step from here and the normal pony beads. The trickiest thing for her is knowing where to hold the string to be able to get it through the whole bead so it’s nice that some are still very thin discs so she can do those easily (this was actually my only complaint of the Melissa and dough ones - they were so deep/wide it was hard to get the whole string through). Colors are a grab bag, we definitely have way fewer purples in our set than reds but whatever. She loves them. Packaging was also cute

Pleasantly Surprised
Just what I wanted. I went back and forth wether to buy wooden or plastic bead sets for the little ones. I decided on these plastic ones. They are lighter than wood, so they are easier for little hands to string, they hang better if the little ones want to show off their creation as a necklace, and the price was right. The packaging it comes in is so adorable. It would make a very nice little gift. Looks more expensive than it is. Great activity for little ones.

Lots of options for learning due to shapes & colors
Very pleased with beads, string lasting is always the deal, we'll see. Two & half year old grandson picked up on idea quickly, although a bit hard yet. Will be able to ask for him to do AA or ABA or AAB patterns and add colors into patterns ;)There seems to be not an in-between size (large or pony) of blocks for stringing on the market. This one will work.

Engaging for kids
I like that they have so many different bead shapes/ colors to use to keep my kids interested for longer. I suggest you tie a double knot to one end of each string so that the beads don’t slide through.

Made in China
Beautiful beads. Perfect for little hands. BUT made in China. How do I know the plastic in them isn't going to kill my kiddo? I wish it was made evident in the listing where the country of origin is. Why can't we make that in USA?
