Philip Keveren has always been a favorite composer. Great arranger. This book, like the others published by Alfred, is easy to read. A variety of songs from different branches of the military make this a great volume to have on hand for patriotic occasions.

I have a handful of Keveren’s books and I like some better than others, but this book is the best of all of them. The arrangements are really good and fun to play! Not too difficult but just enough key changes and variation to make them fun to play and beautiful to listen to. Highly recommend this one!

Buying this kind of music book is always a risk. I have been disappointed so many times however this was not the case here. The arrangements are a little demanding but not horribly difficult but the result is stunning. Al the arrangements are great and I will be performing 6 of them next Veteran's day.

A great collection of some of the best patriotic songs that should bring every American to their feet in a salute! But, there are no words, so unless you know the words to the particular song, you'll just have to hum the melody. Musical score is for the pianist that is not a beginner - and more to a concert arrangement of the piece. George M. Cohen and John Phillip Sousa in the same book - now that is Grand!

Good for advanced beginners. We got it especially for the Battle Hymn of the Republic - it's a beautiful arrangement.

I enjoy this book for many reasons. Patriotic songs are often predictable, but throw in a little contemplative jazz, altered tempos, and resolved dissonant chords, and suddenly you're having fun. Figure out your own style. Play it all, mix it up, or leave-out bits and pieces. Good for any audience.

Some of the songs I have changed the notes in areas. I don't know if it's an error in the composition, or if its just that my ear didn't like it. I found this to be true in more than one piece.

It was difficult for me to find patriotic piano music that I could play for services especially for veterans at nursing homes, as well as for other patriotic occasions, such as the Fourth of July. This music will work out well.
