The screw that holds the battery and media card door shut is very small but was screwed in very tightly. The amount of torque that was needed to loosen the screw stripped it so we couldn't open it and get batteries in without drilling it. We tried to use electrical tape to hold it closed after that, but no luck. I would not recommend this camera.

This camera was purchased for a 4 year old. He loves it and can easily us it for picture taking. The pictures are blurry because of his unsteady hand, and the overall image quality is low, but that was to be expected with such a low megapixel camera. The battery compartment is difficult to open because of the need for such a small screwdriver. Overall, I didn't expect much from this camera except a happy toddler, and that is what I got.

I purchased this camera for my 3 year-old. It was a challenge to open the battery compartment, but overall a good camera for preschoolers. Not worth original price of $70, I paid $8.

If you can manage to find an eyeglass screwdriver for the battery compartment (without stripping the minuscule screw in the process), you MAY just be able to take some pictures. Since I did not prepare to have an eyeglass screwdriver for a camera, my son has not even been able to use this toy for Christmas.I cannot rate the picture quality, because I have yet to get the battery compartment open. For 20 dollars and some change, I could have put it towards a decent camera.

The shape, make quality and display size, functions look resonable at first. But the screw design for the battery cover is hectic. After 1 year of boring use, we threw it to the bin.

I had high hopes that I would be able to open the battery compartment despite what the previous reviewer wrote. But no. It is impenetrable. Heed that warning!I will have to return the item and my son will be without a digital camera on our upcoming vacation. The company's return policy "in original product packaging and condition" makes it completely unclear whether I will get my money back -- and of course the postage's been paid either way.

this camera is perfect for my 7 yr. old. He loves to take a million pictures and immediately see the results. Personally I find the pictures very grainy and a little hard to make out, but he loves that he had taken them himself.

Never got it open to put a battery in so we could operate it! The screw is so tiny on the battery compartment it can't be opened. We tried three different eye glass repair kit screw drivers. Nothing worked. Complete waste of money!
