This is a top notch collection, highly recemmended, get your copy today as I did
Are you looking for a book that will help you sleep? Or for something that will not stretch your imagination? Perhaps its a book that you can put down and later pick up and not be concerned about remembering the story line? ...... If any of there are your objective, then this collection is not for you. (And it wasn't for me either!)Thi is an excellent collection of stories from a group of talented authors who will challenge your imagination, you will have a hard time putting it down ("just a few more minutes till I can finish this story honey, and then you try and sneak another one in."). You will find yourself thinking "I didn't expect that" when you get to the end of a story" or "I hope that she or he will write some more about some of the characters".

Very nice anthology. Thought provoking stories. Loved Lindsay Buroker's Hope Springs!

Lackluster
A few of these tales had interesting and unusual premises. Revision errors and strange characters cropping up around dashes were bothersome, but in particular, the last story it was clear the writer had forgotten whether the AI in the suit was named Sandy or Sally.

Love the series, love this book.
I think the Beyond The Stars is my favorite anthology series. I enjoyed all ten of these stories and since I devoured them I'm sure I will be going back for a re-read in the not-to-far future.Great space opera sci-fi here, not a single dud in the bunch. Two tales deserve special mention. Escaping Eshwar by EE Giorgi and Anamnesis by Josi Russell. Both of these are FANTASTIC tales that grab and don't let go.If you like space opera, don't hesitate, just grab this book. If you don't know if you like space opera, then grab this book and you will be hooked. And if you don't like space opera - well, buy it anyway and just check out Escaping Eshwar and Anamnesis and you will discover that you do indeed like space opera. And for a special treat, the intro is by Samuel Peralta, keeper of the castle for the Chronicles anthologies.I received an ARC of this book. After reading the ARC I purchased a copy - it's well worth the money.

50% Engaging
3 1/2 stars. A mixed bag of stories. Themes were good, but only half the stories were well written and engaging. The rest of the stories less so. If you love Buroker's Star Seekers series, don't miss Alisa & Leonardis' honeymoon story.

Great read and can't beat the price
Great read and can't beat the price. I love collections of short stories like this because it helps you discover new authors. I discovered and loved Michael Ezell's writing style in the last beyond the stars collection and I am happy to say I loved this story even more. The other authors had great stories as well, definitely a fun read.

Lame
A very quick read.Nothing for me to recommend.I have read a couple of these books/collections where the writers are interviewed at the conclusion of their story. The hype and kudos for the writers exceeds the the story presented.

Another great anthology of Sci-Fi short stories in the fourth volume of the 'Beyond The Stars' Space Opera series.
Another great anthology of Sci-Fi short stories in the fourth volume of the 'Beyond The Stars' Space Opera series.Ten different stories from ten different authors, each one very entertaining and enjoyable, with some standing out more than others, which is to be expected in an anthology, but they are all very much at home together in this indie Sci-Fi anthology. The stories are well written and draw you into their unique universes, getting you invested in the characters and plots. It's all very engrossing, with the only disappointment being that our visit to each story is all too brief. As with the previous editions in this anthology series, we take a quick peek behind the scenes of the short stories with a brief Q&A with the authors, asking what sparked them to write their short stories and if the stories and characters continue on in their other works. There are also links to each author's website and social media, so you can follow them and find more stories and books.Overall, 'Beyond The Stars: New Worlds, New Suns' is an excellent collection of short stories, that once you start you won't want to put down.

Enjoyable read for the most part. So many different types of stories kept my interest alive always looking forward to the next one.Would recommend to those who enjoy shorter adventures rather than full length albums.
