Good Solar Panels from Loom Solar but is having small QC issues
I bought Loom Solar 2 *375W Solar panels from Amazon for Rs 21500 (28.6Rs/W) during the Sale in October. Normally the panels is sold for 25K but during sale it was 23K and with 1500 off on Card offers. The price is great for Mono PERC.The panels were delevered witin 7 days which pretty good for rural location. The post will be a little longer βΊοΈ(appologies).I have been using the system for more than 6 months so I think its a good time to write a review. Its has generated over 500Units according to my Solar Charge Controller.System Overview:I installed the system with Smartren Prime+ 30A MPPT Solar charge controller, Luminous 2KVA Cruze+ Inverter (24V) and 2 * Luminous 160Ah Tall Tubular battery.Review:I installed the system at my Village home at Paschim Medinipur, WB.I mounted the system with my father on the stairs roof which have an angle of arroud 35Β°. According to my location a angle of 15 to 20 degree would have been best for fixed array.I use the system as off grid system without connecting to mains as the inverter uses avg of 40W while doing nothing and the battery is also fully charged (Ideal Consumption), which is arround 1 unit (Rs 6 additional) per day.I switch to mains during night. (A bit manual work but I prefer the control).I have seen a maximum output of arround 600W from the panel to the Battery.I wanted to go with Ashapower charge controller but were not deliverable to my location, which has better tracking of MPPT and better efficiency.During day with good sunπ, it produces like 14-16A from panels and 22-23A to battery. But avg battery charge current is arround 18A.Under cloudy weather panels produces around 100-150W to battery.During day it easily runs 2 fans(75W each), 1 TV(75W) 1 Fridge(110W), washing Machine (270W), Air Cooler(175W).Form 9AM to 4PM I use continuous a load of 200-400W directly from Solar.I can even run 1.1KW submersible pump during emergency. Power cuts and low voltage in Village which is common. My system can easily run my Induction which uses 1200W. (I usually avoid these loads with my other loads as it can overload my Inverter). The system generates 3-3.5 units per day under good sun.I am happy with the system but I see some QC issue with the panel out of the 2 panels cells of one panel is deep blue (close to black) but the other one is having some cells which are little light deep blue in colour. And the sillicone seal which is applied to seal the panel with the aluminium frame is not applied properly. But overall the system is awesome. And now Loom Solar have launched 390W (Rs15K per panel) Mono PERC and Shark 440W (Rs18K per panel) half cut cell panels but they seems bit expensive then the older 375W panel (Rs 13K).

DIY Home project - working great.
Was looking to augment grid power with solar to ensure reduced electricity bills. After much search, finalized on Loom Solar Mono panels and bought it during the offer days at a slightly reduced price on EMI option(23K for 2 panels). Product was delivered in 4 days flat. Took me a month to plan out and install it as it was a DIY project. Installation was easy with the provided instructions (including Loom Solar stand - which was bought separately). It's about a month and half and the set up is working like a charm. On a good 'Solar' day, my 750W unit (375W x2 panels) generates about 3.5 to 3.9 units in Winter (in Bangalore). Have to check on a good 'Solar' day in Summer. Also tech support from loom solar was quite courteous and explained the usage aspects. The only thing that we need to be prudent about is the need to clean the panels every few days. Being a polluted city, dust settles down on the panels fast and the efficiency comes down slightly (about 0.2 to 0.3 units per day). If loom can improvise on this, it would be wonderful..
