Jungle King 2

Fantasy portal harem adult situationsJake has a serious disconnect with their living situation. He wants to study the tribe of volcano worshipping cannibals they discover. Somehow during all his cultural anthropology classes, he never learned that they play for keeps. One serious continuity error; two of the girls take a side trip, one helps with raft building, and returns two days later, supposedly having been gone the whole time. There were ten other names to pick from. Seriously. If dinosaurs, mega fauna, and primitive cannibals get you going, and don't mind that nubile college babes keep rescuing Jake, enjoy. It really is self indulgent fun.

Jungle King 2 Is another well written book it has an interesting storyline a all the characters are still as interesting as in Jungle King 1and I am looking forward to Book 3

First book was good. College Prof and students were smart. As like any other college students. They were practical and adaptive to their new environment.Then all totally went dumb on this second book.1) Prof has a raging hormone of a teenager. He oggles the girls like he just hit puberty.2) Prof became an idiot.A) He thinks its ok to be live in an island with cannibals.B) He thinks if they stay in their little corner, they wont get foundC) Even after being attacked he doesnt see them as threatD) He actually wanted to let his would be killers goE) He thinks after strong earthquakes and tremors the volcano wont erupt. Even a freakin Pre-K would think otherwise genius.F) He thinks even if it erupts that they would be safe in their little corner.3) The girls went dumb too.A) They also feel like they would be safe from cannibals. No sense of danger at allB) After base got attacked, they did weapons training (smart) but refuse to carry weapon when going out (dumb) or take a partner (dumber then dumb)C) A freaking volcano is about to erupt but still refuse to leave. What the hell happen to their smarts and practicality?I liked the first book because it did not solely focus on sex. Characters were smart and practical. This second book, has more sex just for the sake of gratifying teen hormones.And I dont like making people do idiotic mistakes that makes them go out of character for plot advancement. Do better than that. I will give this one a pass, but if continues with this trend then it would be a disappointment for me.

I like the story. I think it's got a lot of potential. I would have liked they're to be I don't know a little bit more development in the second one. It's not bad but I don't think it lived up to its potential. With that said I don't I think it would be good if it ended up book 3. The way it's going right now maybe 6 books or more total to do a proper story. Of course if the audience isn't there than it will just die on the vine. The introduction of Gabrielle was pretty cool and that I think at it everything makes me interested in reading a book 3. I will admit though Terror birds are pretty awesome.

The story has good plot but to many women at the start. It would have worked better if the hero acquired more women though the exploration of island. Like so many stories the fantasy begins well but there are no reliance strong women. What happened to a woman being taller than the male from time to time. Will be looking for next installment.

*spoiler warning*I'm not one that ever reads books these days, but I decided to give this series a try and honestly it gave me a reason to actually read. I have always been interested in primitive people and their ways of life as well as stranded survival types of stuff, such as "Naked and Afraid" I like how the author adds in subtle details such as pointing out characters body changed from living in the new environments as well as pointing out hair growth. Maybe in the next book we will read details of how the characters clothes begin to wear and tear. I'm sure they have had damage to their clothes by now from many things, from day to day life, such as plants scratching and tugging on them. those bikinis have got to be mostly strings of holes by now and likely would have to be discarded by now. I'm pretty sure Jake is still butt naked, I didnt remember reading that he actually put his loincloth back on when he was leaving the village

I enjoyed reading the second book of this arc or series. The main characters is not over powered but a man trying to cope with the situation he thrown into. Looking forward to the next book.

Jungle King 1 & 2 are my introduction to Jack Porters work (actually I'm pretty new at the whole fantasy harem genre, and it been interesting discovering the various approaches to the same genre, some are very sexual, some are technical, or adventure orientated)... And I was so happy with his first book, I went straight to his second, reading both straight thru back to back, with very little downtime to eat or nap! Great book, fun read, and I find myself hungry for more! Let's just hope Jake learns that he can't always just run off on a whim! Jack Porter, Book 3 NOW! --- or Soonest <3 :)

Jungle King 2 is usual with Jack Porter a very well written and hugely entertaining book. We delve more into the characters, seeing more of their personality. We also see more of the island and it's inhabitants, some good, some bad. The harem sees some new members as well as have some great problems to overcome. Simply another great read.

I enjoyed the first book and also this one of the series so far so I will be buying the next in the series as it becomes available for purchase. Keep up the good work Jack and go hard on the next book. Thanks
