Mesmerizing Koch
The media could not be loaded. Wonderful book. Very engrossing and packed with never-to-be-revealed information. The author m, Christopher Leonard has done a tremendous job of deep diving into the genesis and the DNA of the Koch Industries.Though written as a critique of the Koch Industries, it has had an opposite effect on me. It turned me into an ardent fan of Charles Koch, CEO of Koch Industries.Amazing read. Beautifully written.

An intriguing journey into corporate greed and the monsters it can create
Kochland was a book I had purchased on impulse - having read quite a bit about the Koch brothers and their empire in the recent past. Didn't get around to reading the book till the recent past.It is one of the most intriguing accounts of modern capitalism, the exploitation of the capitalist system as well as the dark synergy which actually exists between politics and the richest business men in the world. We all knew about the dirty dark secrets! Expected them even! But Christopher Leonard rips the veil off and shows us in stark reality the gory details of the Koch empire! An absolute page turner and a must read!

Must Read for Business Empire Creators
This book is a detailed version of Creation of an Empire - Ambition, Execution, Super Growth, Fortune & Idealogy - and that too in our current times. A well rounded look at this business group from the beginning to it becoming one of the largest business groups on earth - without any gyaan or academic orientation. Yes, the writer does portray this company in a negative light right from the first page, which i guess most of these conglomerates are usually subjected to. For ambitious entrepreneurs this is like a textbook, without it being anything like a textbook.

A parallel journey of USA and it’s corporate
The book is an outstanding work of research and connects the history of corporate in America through the lens of the biggest, baddest and unstoppable organization-Koch. A must read for anyone who is interested in historical non-fiction, corporate governance, political and corporate nexus or even someone who just likes to read through the veins of American business history.I am not posting any pictures because the book was delivered in a bad shape by the seller and packaging was pathetic. Nevertheless I kept it for the discount was worth it.

The best business book out there
KOCHLAND - Book Review. The BEST Business Book I have read so far. Nothing comes close. The KOCH bros are the top 5 richest people on earth. You HAVE to own, read & study this book to figure:- The DEEP dive into what makes businesses successful. The relentlessness of Charles Koch to IMPROVE, study, innovate, improvise, be firm & NEVER give in.- The early stories of how Koch obliterated the Labor union is personal to me. My socks factory in Lower Parel had the same issues.- The WHY of staying "private" and not going for glam, PR, noise, etc. No branding, marketing, 'logo making' 🙂- The institutionalisation of the Corporate's Playbook. It's so hard to set common agendas & missions. (I fell for the rigour of the process vs the content (unknown)- How opportunities are seized by those who are ready. The Business of PREPAREDNESS.- The MACHINE that Koch built to control Washington. Scary but fascinating.- How everything boils down to UNRELENTING HARD WORK.- The nuclear level of DETAIL that KOCH went into everything.- The approach of frugality. (Office decors, chairs, all 'normal)- The model to create wealth from Knowledge, Data, Work.

Excellent Read
If you like learning about how the political World is controlled, this is a good book. The Koch Brothers have built an impressive empire. The author appears to have done some very detailed research and writes in an easy to follow manner, while also entertaining. The KOCH brothers, like them or not, are successful and it's always interesting to see what people with money will do. Charles Koch's control over federal policy is somewhat interesting and also a bit terrifying. It's terrifying how easily politicians can be swayed. Regardless of what you think of the Koch brothers, it's a good read. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

One of the best reads I have ever had!
This is a brilliant book about one of the largest companies in the world. It runs you through many decades the company has existed and shows you it through the lens of US politics and the economy. The author is going in-depth into so many divisions/markets and describes them so thoroughly that you really feel that you learning a lot from reading it. It is a factual book, but it reads like a triller. I love the author's writing style and his teasers at the end of each chapter of what is coming next. Honestly, it is a delight. Five stars from me!

Hard to separate the businessman from the citizen. For me, brilliant businessman, lousy citizen
I read this off of the heels of Democracy in Chains. An excellent read BTW. I wanted a deeper dive into the ultra-right Libertarian businessman and his design on our Democracy. I found Kock to be a brilliant businessman. That is hard to deny. I also found him to be profoundly unaccountable for what he creates in the world outside of his dynasty. Everything he does seems to be justified as long as it maximizes his profit and eliminates the taxes he might pay. Particularly if those taxes support anything that might negate the suffering or provide support of those who are at the mercy of corporations. His political machine and the wealth he uses to overthrow our democracy is a bit unnerving. He makes Milton Friedman look like a liberal. If you also believe that those with wealth should set all policy and make all the decisions in our democracy, and that the majority should have no right to "property rights of the minority wealthy", then you will love Charles Koch's work and mission. I personally am keynesian and what I have been witnessing as the outcome of this man's mission in life is horrible. With that said, an excellent read and quite revealing.

Corporate Power schlechthin
Richtig interessantes Buch was Unternehmensentwicklung, Die Macht des Geldes, Corporate Power etc angeht.
