Great value
Got this monitor three years ago for $180 on sale and took it to college with me. Has been absolutely perfect for gaming and school work. Still holds up great and looks clean.

Love
I love this monitor! It's not too big and not too small. It fits perfectly ion the space I have. I would most likely order another one in the future.

Amazing monitors – but run away if you get BOE panels!
I've received six of these so far – a mix of the LIM111 (1x), LIM101 (1x), and BIM111 (4x) revisions. Both LIM revisions appear identical in all aspects that I can see, while the BIM revisions have some serious quality differences.See attached photos for a comparison (LIM on left and BIM on right). The stock color difference is not as extreme as it looks, that's just distortion on camera due to the anti-glare coating, it's only roughly half as bad.LIM111/LIM101 (LG):• No flickering• Good anti-glare coating and no visible graininess• Beautiful and vibrant color• Strong and accurate whites/grays• Great viewing angles• Moderate IPS glowBIM111 (BOE):• Flickers a lot (more on that below)• Excessive anti-glare coating that causes visible graininess on the screen• Weaker color vibrancy• Weaker whites/grays• Poor viewing angles• Minimal IPS glowFor those who have a mix of BIM and LIM revisions, I recommend trying out custom RGB on both – (245, 255, 255) on LIM and (255, 255, 255) on BIM. There's still a noticeable difference, you can't get them to match without drastically hurting color accuracy on LIM, but it's a decent improvement. Do not install an ICC profile on the BIM revisions unless it's specifically tuned for it.3 of the 4 BOE panels that I received flicker, including replacements from different warehouses. The flickering is like a momentary 20-30% drop in brightness, and it happens in batches of 2-3 times over the course of several seconds, generally reoccurring every 5-30 minutes. I couldn't find any settings that helped, including reducing the refresh rate and disabling adaptive sync, nor swapping the cables with a LIM panel that didn't flicker. It seems like there's possibly a "flicker lottery" going on here too...

Pretty good
Overall great and a good starter monitor if your pc can handle it but I definitely over paid for it. Only worth it if you can get it for less than like $230

At around (or under) $200, this monitor is an absolute steal.
I read all the reviews and became scared of the panel lottery, but the price was just too tempting. And all this BOE fearmongering turned out to be nonsense. I think you're going to be subjected to panel lottery in general (not just BOE vs LG) and this will be your primary concern. For me, I got an absolutely immaculate BOE. Zero light bleed. Colors look great, a feast for my eyes. Very happy with my supposedly inferior panel. The only scenario where I could see this even being a small problem is if you plan to buy multiple X27qs. In that setup, ideally all your panels would be identical... but even then, these specs at this price point? Still compelling even with that caveat.Another huge bonus for me personally is the stand. It has a small footprint yet is very sturdy and has TONS of adjustment. Most cheaper monitors will cut corners on the stands, and I cannot understate how awesome it is to have the option for portrait mode and height/tilt adjustment out-of-the-box. Again, mind blowing at this price point.I primarily play a lot of fast-paced, flick-shot arena FPS on mouse and would notice any sort of delay or ghosting instantly - there isn't any. I don't own testing equipment to measure exact color accuracy and response time, but I am particular about image quality/delay and have daily-driven more displays than I can count, including 4k and 300hz displays. After 2 months of daily use, I can assure you that this thing punches WAY above its price range - assuming you don't get a dud. But that applies to pretty much any display you may be considering buying.

Excellent for a Two-Monitor Set Up
I bought these to replace my aging 19-inch, 5:4 display work-from-home monitors manufactured in 2007. It was time for an upgrade. I bought one of these HPs to start and liked it so much I immediately bought a second one. Love the 16:9 format instead of the old 5:4 format. The 27-inch size is amazing for my work-from-home set up. Two of them gives me so much screen space, it's incredible! They are bright and clear. HUGE upgrade from my previous monitors. I had to get a new docking station capable of running both monitors at their highest resolution, but that's okay. Well worth it. HIGHLY recommend these monitors!!

This monitor was a steal
I got this from the Treasure Truck deal. Under $190 shipped for a 165Hz 1440p IPS monitor. The first one I got from this deal had a defect in the top right corner of the panel that was only visible from certain angles. Seemed to be a deformity in the panel itself. I returned it for another one which is perfect. It's an excellent monitor that I was lucky enough to snag for under $190 all said and done.As with any other monitor HDR 400 is kind of a joke and looks worse than standard range. Leave it disabled.Had no problems running it at 165Hz over the included Display Port cable. AMD Freesync Premium was enabled by default. The colors are not the best out of the box, but are easily corrected with the OSD. There's a couple of presets which are okay, but I prefer the custom RGB option to set to my liking. You can also use custom color profiles as well. The backlight is bright. This one has no issues with deformities or light bleed. It looks great. Slight color banding even after calibrating, but not worth trying to return again. No dead or stuck pixels. No flickering issues.I missed it the first time it was a Treasure Truck deal, but got lucky and snagged it the second time. If it comes back up again I will certainly get another one and you should too. For that price you really can't beat it.
