this is a great compliment to the weaning book that guides you through a mixed baby led and purée approach to weaning which appealed to us, overall I found the language is friendly and easy to follow. What I like the most is the summary before each recipe telling you the ingredients, equipment that you will need, the time it will take to make including prep time, storage (how long it will keep chilled and/or frozen) and the number of servings. The recipes are simple, easy to follow and economical in use of kitchen wear, in short you aren't left with dozens of pans to wash after eat session!I also like how some recipes have little tips on how you can develop or add to the food to your or babies developing taste.Lastly another feature I liked about this is that some of the recipes are designed to be meals for the whole family and not just baby, this is clearly outlined in the servings description and very useful when planning your meals if you don't want to spend time cooking separate meals for baby.Depending on your preference it's worth nothing that there are no photos of the recipes, personally this doesn't detract from the book for e but I can understand it may for others.Would and have recommended to others

Nice book and good recipes I like the approach taken ...
Nice book and good recipes I like the approach taken of being flexible about whether the baby feeds her/himself or they are spoon fed. It's really useful for weaning and beyond, for example there is a recipe for a tasty but not too high sugar apple crumble and some banana pancakes which are just as nice for adults as little ones. My baby won't eat the recipes but she won't eat any of my cooking and I think they're great.

Brilliant Go-To Recipes. Can we have a hardback please?
Since I bought it nearly 3 months ago, I have cooked from this book daily. The recipes are simple, tasty and creative and have set the ground work for moving my daughter on to solids. I love the fact that the ingredients are things that you tend to already have and the mix of flavours keeps things interesting. In particular there are some great recipes for introducing different carbohydrate and protein options, which often feels like it can be forgotten amidst all the fruit and vegetables of early weaning. I was hoping for better meal plans but the ones used are ok and give a general idea.My only gripe about the book is usability.1. it is a paperback, so you end up picking up and putting down the book a dozen times in order to follow a single recipe, rather than being able to leave the appropriate page open as per most recipe books. My book has become covered in food and finger marks.2. although most recipes are short, not enough effort has been put into formatting, so most recipes are split over 2 sides, requiring turning the page to double check while cooking, which compounds the above point. This recipe book has given me confidence to cook variations on these recipes with confidence that I can get the right balance for my baby.

Amazing and delicious family recipes
I absolutely love this book and am sure it will be our go-to family recipe book for years to come. So far everything I've tried from it has been quick and easy and my 8 month old daughter has really enjoyed most of them (much more so than the Anabel Karmel recipes I've made). It has a really good range of recipes and Rana Conway gives tips on how to adjust them to different feeding styles (spoon/self feeding) or older/younger babies. It gave me the confidence to try finger foods with my baby right from the start and now I love watching her tuck into a courgette finger or parsnip fritter. The recipes are full of flavour so they're delicious for adults too. It's great fun to share a meal of butter bean pate on toast or eat a lovely chicken stew in the evening then feed it to her for lunch the next day. It's relatively adventurous in that it gets us eating a wide range of foods but all of them still suitable for babies. I know everyone buys the Anabel Karmel books but for us this one has been so much better and I can't recommend it highly enough.
