In the Shadow of Power

Nothing new here and very muddled with too many characters and a totally unbelievable storyline. This sort of format with detective and attorney/reporter is too often featured in crime books and it might be an idea to leave it alone for a while.

I was glad I hadreadthe previous books. UNderstanding the various remarks relating to Nora’s previous involvement on Sandhamm enhanced the enjoyment of a REALLY excellent novel. A very good read.

Usually enjoy this writer right from page one, this book was different .took a while to hold my interest and also took a whole week to read. The read was slow the characters hard to relate to . Finally just about the end kind of came together. After reading the acknowledgements I understood why. V Sten said it was a stubborn book to write. It certainly was a stubborn book to read. But worth the time in the end. Thank you for keeping on writing, waiting for the next read.
