The Complete Book of Christian Baby Names: Popularity, Trending, Origin, and Significance Paperback – June 11, 2015

My wife bought three baby name books and this was by far the best. It was kind of painful getting through the other two, which were just a long alphabetical list. This one was more interesting because it was almost like a bunch of stories. We were able to skip some sections with names we didn't like the style of, so getting through it was also faster. The book had a surprising number of names and is worth reading, even if you aren't specifically looking for a Christian name.

What an inspiring book! I started reading this book to get some ideas for the name of my granddaughter, but I found myself captivated and delighted with the beautiful meanings of the Christian names and how each name is intended to glorify God. This book is also a very complete work, covering a long period of Christian history. I Highly recommend this book. Very professional work.

Great research done and a fun read even if you are not looking for baby names. It was so interesting finding out the origins and significance of my own kids names. I think it would be enjoyable for anyone to flip through.

This is one of the most comprehensive books on baby names that I've seen in a while. The author begins with an introduction and a brief explanation on how to use the book. The girls are first, followed by the boys. She first begins with Old and then New Testament names. But also listed are Christian concepts and virtues, Martyrs, and Saints. Each name has several aspects - Origin, Significance, Popularity, and also things like related names, or spelling variations.First I loved the cover. What a precious way to start the book. But the depth and layout of the book was also great. I love looking at baby names and learning of their origins and meanings. While soon to be parents are obviously the target audience, this book would also be wonderful for authors who are trying to name their characters. I really like this book. The best thing is that it tells you how popular the names are, which is really surprising for a lot of names. There are a lot of popular names that I haven’t heard and wouldn’t think anyone was using. It’s organized in sections, like names from Exodus or names for Mary, so don’t choose this book if you just want to look up names. But if you’re going to read a whole baby name book, this is much more fun to read
