All I know about these tablets is that I started taking them because I just could not grow my nails - they split, cracked etc after years of false/gel nails - within a month of taking these zinc tablets, I could see my nails getting stronger and I now have a full set of beautiful strong nails! This batch had a very bad smell to it and as I never used this form of zinc from this brand before I thought maybe it's supposed to smell like that. So now I bought more zinc from the same brand but not here on Amazon and no smell! I wonder what I have been taking!
