Where Was The Exciting Climactic Battle to Save the Vatican?
In my mind, Mac Walker would look like a 38 yr old Chuck Norris. This book reminded me so much of the Norris action flicks of the 80's. Not saying that in a bad light, as I loved Chuck's movies likeย Missing In Action ย andย Invasion U.S.A. Lots of action, but in a odd way, I wanted more. Maybe due to the length of the story, I felt the author shaved off the big climactic fight at the end. All the build up in the story and it ended pretty quiet. In the movies, Mac Walker would have been fighting on the plane just over the Vatican trying to save the day. See Harrison Ford inย Air Force One . I'd give this story 3.5 stars if I could, so I'll bump it up to 4 stars because as I mentioned above, it reminded me of the 80's action movies. And yes, I plan to read more of Mac Walker. I recently downloaded 3 free short stories and I haveย MAC WALKER'S BETRAYAL: An American hero military suspense political thriller ย on my Kindle already. After I read all those, I will use the Kindle Unlimited to catch up on all the other 3 Mac Walker stories inย MAC WALKER: The Collection: A Military Suspense Thriller . This collection has all 8 Mac Walker stories (short and long). I figure to have read 5 stories before I borrow this one. So sit back and enjoy Mac Walker kick some butt.

Can A Middle-Aged Seal Save the Day (and the world?)
Enjoyed this fast moving story about an old hard-liner ex-Navy Seal that could have been 5 stars had it the opportunity of a good editor and eye for details. Mac Walker is returning to Washington DC after a well earned vacation and prior to accepting a new position in Project Icon, an elite anti-terrorist organization. Stasia is also on the Boeing 767 and a member of the Vatican equivalent to Mac's. The airliner is hijacked shortly out of Paris and flown to a remote island off Tunisia where they are met with armed militia, terrorist mercenaries, and something appearing to be biological weapons intended for a major attack against the Vatican. Stasia and Mac join forces to retake the plane, save the passengers and the Vatican, and live to fight another day. The story moves along at a good clip, the characters evolve into real people, and the plot progresses well with believable interaction between governmental agencies. I got this book as a free download and enjoyed the easy escapist read. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick, fun thriller.

DW Ulsterman has a huge hit on his hands
I have been a fan of Ulsterman and Mac Walker series for quite some time and his latest entry--Mac Walker 40,000 feet--is the best yet. A plane is hijacked by fanatics to use as a biological bomb on the Vatican. Only Mac and Stasia (his Vatican partner) can stop this horrendous crime. What follows is a taut, suspenseful drama played out in the seats and aisles of a Boeing 767 that will keep any fan of the suspense/thriller genre on the edge of their seats. I picked the book up on my Kindle and couldn't put it down until the last page was gone. You will be carried away for 2 hours ours by the action, suspense, drama, double-dealing, heroism and ultimate success of our hero's. When I was done reading my heart was racing and I wanted there to be more. I am sure Mr. Ulsterman will oblige.

Pretty good book, but...
Pretty good book, good storyline & characters. But I only gave it 3 stars due to the silly number of typos, word misuse, and misspellings. For instance, the word "hangar" as in an airplane storage building, is used frequently, but missspelled "hanger" through the first 3/4 of the book; then it's mysteriously corrected in the last part of the book! Weird to say the least. Also I was ready to scream if I had to hear the lead character described as "the former Navy SEAL" one more time!! Holy cow! Do we need to be reminded of that on every 2nd or third page throughout the book? Even in the final pages, the author thinks his readers are morons & feels the need to repeat it! That was even more irritating than the sloppy grammar, misspellings, and missing words. This author needs an editor/proofreader, or at least a new one.But it's a worthwhile read and I enjoyed it, well sort of.

Overtaking a hijacked airplane
Mac Walker agreed with Ray Tilley that after his vacation in Paris, he would join up with Project Icon, a special ops program sanctioned secretly by the government. Now at 40,000 feet in this hijacked airplane, he had only one choice to come up with a plan to save himself and everyone on board. He found himself working with another passenger aboard, Stasia Wellington whom he learned was a Vatican special ops working on her own suspicions. So, between both of them, they had to work his plan to stay alive.A military thriller with a former Navy Seal sniper and special ops person that made for an exciting and suspense-filled and terrific book.

Believable Hero
This is a really good military type of book. Mac Walker is a believable character that stands out as a hero defending innocent people. There is a good bit of action and the ground work is laid for all the characters which I believe will be in all the other Mac Walker books. This is a little different kind of book than I normally read but if I'm ever in a bad situation, I hope someone like Mac will be there to do the tough things that need to be done to save me. I decided to purchase the entire set of books to continue reading.

Mac Walkers 40,000 Feet
Mac walker is a retired Navy seal. Mac interviews for a position within the government called Project Icon, a job that can use his skills learned from the navy seals. He is on vacation returning from overseas when the airplane he is on gets hijacked. He finds himself on board with a secret service lady from the Vatican. The two of them try to stop the hijackers from using the airplane as a means of killing everyone at the Vatican. I really enjoyed reading this authors book. Will be reading the rest of Mac Walkers series.

Airplane hijack that's a good read
Airplane hijack similar to other books and films. Enjoyed the read. It's a bit of mind time isn't it, not too complicated and larger than life. First book I have read from this author, will look for more.

Not too bad a story.
It was well written & it kept my interest to the end. I did feel however that he didn't quite live up to the hype throughout the book.
