Yummy Northern Michigan date night spot
This was where hubby and I went on many a date night before and after we got married. We even had our daughters first birthday in one of the big rooms. So I was hoping to find certain recipes to recreate “date night” at home. It did not include any of the recipes I was hoping for. Perhaps based on when this book was written the menu has changed and the items I was hoping for were just simply not a menu item at the time. The book is well written and broken down into chapters per category. Intermixed with stories of how the restaurant came to be and different store owners stories. Kind of fun to read the history. Would have been a 5 if it included what I was hoping for. Over all still a good book and there are some good recipes that we will still try to make.

Ok - But not what I was hoping for...
I purchased this book and was really unable to see what recipes were actually in it before I purchased it. I was hoping to find the recipe for the Firecrackers and did not. But, maybe they have those shipped in? At any rate the recipes for a few of the items call for "mix(es)" which of course are not explained to what makes the mix or where it can be purchased. So, I'm left a little disappointed. But, there are still some good recipes in here.
