Damien has been in the eLearning industry for a considerable time - and his book navigates the world of enterprise Learning in its full essence. Enterprise Learning is a challenging subject - more so because of the constantly changing dynamics (more so post Covid-19) that has engulfed the world. With more people working from home and innovative working models emerging across enterprises (workations, work from anywhere, flexible timings, permanent telecommute), it becomes important to understand and invest in the right technology. This is where choosing the right LMS becomes a crucial factor. It is no longer just crucial to invest in the technology but make optimum use of its features such as gamification, social learning, tracking and learning delivery and most importantly, making the LMS work with other tools that abound in the enterprise for a single view of how learning is impacting the overall business performance. Damien's book covers all of these in meticulous detail and is an enjoyable read for both the seasoned L&D professional as well as someone venturing into the field for the first time.

Damien has written a very comprehensive guide to implementing and configuring Adobe Captivate Prime. Not only does the book cover Captivate Prime as a robust LMS but also how this service works as Learning Experience Platform (LXP). This book discusses how the learner-centric focus of Captivate Prime can be beneficial to learner as well as institutions using it. The step-by-step instructions for all the procedures are easy to follow and the explanations make implementing many of the features and processes very clear. I found that this is an extremely valuable resource and is my go-to book in dealing with anything regarding Captivate Prime. The media could not be loaded.  組織で体系的に教育カリキュラムを提供する場合に利用するLMＳ（ラーニングマネジメントシステム）については、提供する各社のサービスの中にマニュアルが含まれていて、このように書籍として出版されるというのはレアケースだと思います。しかし本書はAdobe Captivate Primeの操作について詳しく書かれており、またどうやって効率的、効果的に運用していくかという点についても触れられており、運用する人にとってはとても助かる内容になっています。Adobe Captivate PrimeをＬＭＳではなく、ＬＸＰ（ラーニングエクスペリエンスプラットフォーム）と位置付けるユーザーも多いのですが、カリキュラムの中にバーチャルトレーニングや対面研修の参加案内、参加履歴も残すことが出来るようになっています。またソーシャルラーニング、学習者間での相互の学び合いが可能となる仕組みや、受講することによってバッヂが付与されるゲーム的な要素も利用できる総合的なプラットフォームです。そして、学習者からのフィードバックとしてカークパトリックのＬ１、Ｌ２、Ｌ３をどうやって集めていくかについても詳しく書かれています。グローバル企業の教育担当者の方で本社からAdobe CaptivatePrimeの運用を指示され、困っている方にとっては必読書だと思います。また、グローバル展開している企業の方がLMSを選定される場合には、本書を紐解くことによって、選定の基準を理解することが出来、Primeと他社のプラットフォームの何が違うのかという比較検討によって、導入後の運用のスムーズさが変わるように感じます。PrimeはUIの言語設定で、英語、日本語、中国語、ドイツ語、スペイン語、ポルトガル語、ロシア語、アラビア語と設定できる言語が豊富です。ですからまず、選択肢のひとつとして、このプラットフォームを理解されることによって、グローバルな展開をイメージしやすくなるのではないでしょうか。また規格については、SCORMだけではなく、xAPIでのパブリッシュしたコンテンツを搭載できることも魅力です。私はPrimeのユーザーで、フルに機能を使いこなせているという自覚は持てていませんでした。本書にざっと目を通しただけでも、まだ使える機能に複数気づくことが出来ました。また、その機能がどこにあるのか、どう設定すればその機能をうまく運用できるのか、について書かれていて、最初からこの本を手元に置いておきたかったと感じさせられます。６００ページ近いボリュームですが、最初から目を通さなくてはならないということではなく、必要な箇所から、興味のある箇所から利用し、活用できる作りとなっていることを書き添えておきます。残念ながら日本語版は出ていませんが、（今後に期待します）Kindleで翻訳しながら利用することが可能です。Amazonジャパンでの印刷となっているので、ペーパーバックはすぐ届きます。（感謝！）
