Best laptop in it's class, Shady X16 Ram business.
While there are many options, but as of now none offer the same money to reward ratio as of March 2022. Edit- earlier i gave it 5 star review but now I'm changing it to 3.5 stars because of the the x16 Ram (mentioned in cons).Pros1. RTX3060 is more future proof than RTX3050 because of 6 GB DDDR62. Asus is offering very cheap warranty (don't get warranty from Asus app, go to asuspromo website; As of now that's for laptop bought in March. I don't know about April)3. Price (₹89999)4. Even after bottlenecking after reaching Thermal limit, BF1 was running at 60-70FPS max resolution and high settings (ambient temperature was around 15 degree Celsius). In summers, result may differ.Neutral points1. Laptop heats up (not while doing ordinary tasks tho). Please use a coolpad and if someone is into heavy gaming, consider replacing the thermal paste. Go for thermal grislys. They are very good.2. Fans are noisy but there is also silent mode although that's not recommended if one is gaming.3. Design is more sober than other Laptops by TUF but it's still kinda flamboyant. I guess it's each to his own here.4. I5-11400h is bottlenecking the GPU but there is always something bottlenecking. Plus the GPU'sTDP is capped at 95 so it evens it out (while definitely improving thermals, technically)6. Asus says that they have improved thermals (which was the main issue with 2020 TUF laptops) but they haven't improved as much as i wished. I'm not putting this in cons because all laptops especially gaming ones suffer from this. And Asus did extend the heatsink to GPU in this model, so they did make some changes. I kinda feel it's the thermal paste here which is failing us but we have to keep in mind that this laptop although expensive is still in a "budget friendly" (i hate to say that) category of gaming laptops (other Rtx3060 are more expensive) .7. Speakers, webcam and microphone are okay.Cons1. 512 GB storage is a joke. Laptop industry is going downhill. 1TB (i know it was HDD not SSD, but still) was the standard back in 2013. How times have changed and companies still cut corners.2. It's a plastic laptop (with the exception of screen back panel, i hope)3. SSD upgrade is a must. But Asus will charge ₹1350 for it. Btw, you can do it yourself self. Plenty of videos available. Just be thorough and don't cheap out on tools. (will still cost you less than how much Asus will charge you).4. No free MS office provided.5. Not recommended for content creators because of lower Srgb and Argb ratings. (if you have extremely weak eyesight then this is a big con for you)6.RAM is x16 not x8 (x16 is an older version of DDR4 and according to some figures the difference in performance is reduced by 5-20 percent, especially for gaming). This saves the company very few hundred rupees but impacts the performance somewhat significantly. They have also failed to mention the technical details of the type of Ram provided.Final verdictNext gen laptops are coming, which will be more compatible with Windows 11 (because of P Cores and E Cores), they will have DDR5 Ram with PCIE gen 4.But they will definitely take 2-3 months to arrive and will be expensive for another 6 months. So, if you require a laptop now or can't wait (not much merit in waiting, tech is always gonna be better in every 3-6 months). Now that i have said that, i must say PCIE4 and 12th gen will make a bigger difference than usual tech advances. Now back to this laptop,i think it's a very good laptop (especially after an SSD upgrade and thermal paste change, please don't cheap out on thermal paste). It can run any game you throw at it with max resolution and ultra to high settings (Especially with RTX off and DLSS enabled). PS5 is not even close to the performance of this laptop (but that's a separate discussion).Temperature throttling by Asus is okay with acceptable bottlenecking (atleast to me). It's 95 degree Celsius for CPU and 85 degree Celsius for GPU.Edit- Ram thing still stings. One more thing, before buying make sure which seller you are buying from.

Good value if you get it around 80k
First of all if you want to play games on this laptop with a external monitor, if you would have to turn g-sync off with a third party software. And make some adjustments to settings to get full potential of it to game. The inbuilt screen is bad.Speakers are avg.The updates and asus softwares aren't great. But performance is really good. That's what matters the most ✌️

Good solid laptop but better cooling is expected
Good solid laptop from ASUS with Intel hexa core processor and 6 gb rtx 3060. This is the Eclipse Grey model so it comes with metallic finish on the lid which is not the case in the black version. Also there is dual channel memory so both slots are occupied. One extra nvme slot available for upgrading storage. I have installed one 2 TB Kingston NVME SSD in the spare SSD slot. Screen is decent with good viewing angles. Laptop is well built much better than Pavillion or Victus . Hinges are firm and much better built than Nitro or MSI. Battery backup is phenomenal. On IGP mode, I got 7 hrs backup. Only concern is the heating. Although numerous reviews have mentioned that cooling is much improved as compared to Tuf 2020 model, my cpu temps constantly hit 90 plus temperatures on playing old titles. However with newer titles, max CPU temps go upto 85 degrees Celcius. On upgrading to Windows 11, CPU temps hit 97 degrees. I have rolled back to Windows 10 and now the temperatures are acceptable. Recommended laptop for next 3 years. Good product from Asus. I have also extended the on-site International warranty to 3 years through Asus Promo website.

Edit : The replacement seems better.
Image 2 was the first unit that I got and I ordered for a replacement right away.Image 1 is the replacement.Even though it still has a little bit of a bleed on the right side, but still, it is quite a large improvement as compared to the first unit. ( I know that backlight bleed and IPS glow are quite common in IPS displays, my previous ROG laptop had some too but still since it was not as bad as the the first unit ( second image ) I was okay with that one too for three years. And the replaced unit for this one ( first image ) was fine as well.So I decided to keep it :)

Very good gaming laptop with rtx 3060,Windows 11 updated ,under 90k
1)After onbox the laptop, I feel laptop is heating more, but after that I saw there is a asus armory app, there you can change the mode silent, performance, tourbo. If you are not playing game then select silent mode. And gpu mode is optimized or eco. After that heating will not come. But if you want to play game then select performance or tourbo and keep some thing below the laptop to proper hot air flow from down side.2)I saw some yellow tint on the display while the screen is completely black. But later i realized it's common in ips display.Other then that there is no issue.3)as compared to other slim laptop it's not compact, so you need to compromise in size. because it's a gaming laptop.4)I have done windows 11 update ,with windows 11 assistant .it's installed smoothly....

Super value for money
You won’t find a cheaper RTX 3060 laptop than this. All other 3060 laptops are above 1lac. Although the TGP is just 95W it can handle almost all AAA titles at 60fps on high settings. Heat is also not an issue. Mine peaked out at 91c while playing RDR2 (a good laptop cooler should bring it down).2 flaws of this laptop are the screen and the wifi card. Screen is only 61%srgb so if you are coming from an external monitor you will feel the difference. Also the wifi card is mediatek which is about average in its speeds. I would swap that out for an intel one.To conclude, you can blindly go for it if you have the cash. 3060 is 40% better than a 3050 and the price difference is worth investing in if you are planning to keep this for the long run.
