Great helmet

Bought this as an upgrade from a downhill mountain bike full face helmet. It's definitely heavier ( I think its nearly 5 lbs?) but wow you feel much safer with this and it's so much more comfortable. The airflow is great. I will say though when it's hot and you're sweating a little if you aren't moving the lenses fog up FAST which is dangerous and I really don't like that but at least you can flip the visor up easily.Very comfortable. Oh I will say there's a terrible sound echo inside the helmet. If you raise your voice to talk to people through the helmet it's like you're yelling at yourself inside the helmet which I also don't like. Still worth it though for the price.

Love this helmet!

Love this helmet. Orderd 2 different helmets worth 250$ and returned them both and went with two of these for the price of one other brand. I love how comfy they are and the modular part snaps in secure. Also has a tinted visor that pops down on command. Haven’t crashed to test that but I can attest to going fast on highway and not having to worry about the wind noise hurting my ears. Able to wear my balaclava with no problem. Also has to spots for Bluetooth headphones if you wanna install. Or if you just wear earbuds ye helmet slips on right over without knocking them out.

Missing parts

Missing battery holder. It’s funny how a critical part could make a review miss a few star. The LED feature of this helmet and the decent reviews were why I decided on buying it. But to my dismay, once I put it on ( great fit ) adjusted the strap, looked it over ( fortunately I didn’t peel off all the protective stickers ), tried the drop down tinted shield feature and examined the fit and finish of the helmet-which are pretty decent. I get to the feature that I was excited about and - BAM- no battery holder. Disappointed. One thing that I’ll nit-pick at, the strap. It’s a mile long! I had to damn near adjust it all the way to its maximum shortness! This leaving a long length of excess. I’m glad I didn’t cut it to my desired length and then find out that it was missing the batter holder. So I returned it and am now waiting again, for the replacement. I hope quality control double checks to make sure it has ALL its parts in the box.And Amazon packaging department, please put some sort of insulating material in the larger box. This is a helmet and it was just in a box, from the distributor WITHOUT any foam protecting it from bouncing around in its original cheap cardboard box. So when you put it into another bigger box it’s still getting bounced around and could get damage. From the distributor —- POOR packagingProduct itself—— decent for the cost but missing critical component.Update; Received replacement helmet. That crucial part thankfully was included this time. So I’m upgrading it to 4 stars. The LED’s could be brighter but I like having an extra light up higher so car drivers can see you, especially at night. Chopped off the excess strap and ran a lighted over the cut end so it won’t fray.

Like it 👍

Probaby one of the best , if not the best helmet at this price point.I was looking for a modular helmet that I can daily so I can get my eyeglasses on easier vs a full-face.It's comfortable (lining feels like my Scorpion R1). Comes with a quick-release too which i really like vs the traditional strap. The light at the back is an added bonus. I did a custom Kawasaki 40th anniversary colorway on mine to match my bike

Saved my head

I bought this helmet to take my riding lessons in 2021. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a helmet til I knew if I would continue and could learn more about what would best fit me. I went one size up, from LG->XL and it fit comfortably. Eventually, the longer I wore it, the more it hurt from pressing on my forehead. I removed the padding and used an ice cream scoop to compress the front and back of the foam. Then I was able to wear it all day before it started hurting. Size-wise, it was great. I put in speakers and still had room to wear Earpods and there was plenty of space to slide glasses in and out with the helmet on. I was even using a strap to hold my glasses in the right place with no problem.Pros: You can't beat the price. Well built. I like the yellow because it is better for the heat but more visible than white. Spacious without being too loose. Quick release buckles are the best; can even clip it with one gloved hand (sometimes) if I forget before I take off. The face shield and shade operate easily. I even use the shade with sunglasses when heading into the sun.Cons: Main problem I encountered is the shield fogs when it rains and only solution is to crack it open a notch. Thankfully, the shield stayed in place when open. I wish there was more air flow. Can barely tell a difference between vents open and closed.I can't comment on the noise level: 1 because I've had nothing to compare it to, 2 I always ride with noise canceling ear pods, and 3 my road tourer blocks most of the wind. I will say this; I gave up using the bluetooth headset because the headset wouldn't let me raise the volume so I could hear anything above the wind noise above 60 mph. I recommend getting NC ear pods or wearing ear plugs just to save your hearing anyway.Over the years I've tried on other helmets, just for a fit check, Bilt, Schubert, Shoei, et al and none of them felt as comfortable as my ILM, so I never traded up.Now, The Best Part: I recently ran off the road at a curve going about 65 mph and rolled several times (I wasn't really counting) down the ditch and the helmet stayed on and did what it was supposed to. I had no head or neck injury! (I had Bohn armor on, in case you're interested.) The only injury I sustained was a broken Tibia and misaligned ankle from a 600 lb motorcycle landing on my ankle. I count myself extremely lucky. After that, the helmet was seriously scratched up and the shield hinge didn't function well and one of the black vent pieces came loose. At that point, I felt I had gotten my money's worth out of it and was more than happy to replace it. I might just replace it with the same one, though I might try on a few others in the same price range to see what feels the best. So, if you have an intermediate oval head, and you're considering buying this, and the Cons aren't deal breakers, I encourage you to consider it. Good for one good wreck, then replace it, and hope you never have to replace it!

Fits great and feels comfortable

Amazing helmet, only thing I'd ask is for the outside of the ears to be sealed better as I can feel some air getting in through it. Got an XL and it fits great!
