A "must" for upright freezers
These baskets are perfect for organizing foods in upright freezers!. I use this size and the larger size and can fit three baskets on each shelf of the freezer. Our main "red meat" is venison, so the freezers tend to be filled in the fall and emptied as the months go by--hence the need for lots of freezer space (we have two uprights, a chest and an under-counter sub-zero).When our 25-year old upright freezer (manual defrost) "died" early this summer after all those years in the garage, we to replace it with a new upright before hunting season started. I already had baskets in the old upright freezer which I moved into the new upright (which is frost-free as are all new uprights and has to "live" in the house so it won't commit suicide in the heat and humidity of a single southern summer). A month after the old upright died, our 20-year old chest freezer (again housed in the garage) also gave up the ghost, which forced us to buy yet another freezer. We went with the same make and model as the new upright we had just purchased, and I needed baskets for the new freezer--and THANK YOU Amazon, for Prime free shipping! I live 25 miles from the closest store, period. So I saved approximately two gallons of gas by having the baskets delivered to my door. :)One upright freezer has freshwater fish, seafood, chicken, pork and veggies, all in baskets I labeled with the label-maker. (You make the label longer than usual, wrap it around one of the wires on the front of the basket, and stick the label it to itself.) The newest freezer now has venison roasts, loins, cube steak, ground venison and our homemade venison sausages (Kielbasa, Andouille, Chorizo, Summer, and Breakfast), in separate baskets, again labeled so we don't have to search through baskets to find what we want. All our ground venison and sausages are 93% lean, BTW.The chest freezer that's still chugging along in the garage holds the extra venison that we will move into the upright in the house as we use what we have in it. Trust me, NOTHING goes to waste in my household; my kids call me "the Freezer Geezer." LOLI've read reviews by people who were disappointed that this size basket doesn't fit in their refrigerator-freezer, but you just have to measure for dimensions, folks. I don't think they'd be very good for chest freezers because they aren't made to stack. I use old plastic milk crates to organize foods in my chest freezer, but that still entails lifting out a basket to get to anything under it. Still, those old crates help organize things so we can just grab a basket of whatever when we need to replenish the indoor uprights.

Real dimensions
The basket is fine, build quality as you would expect. Seems pricey for what it is however. They are quite loose on dimensions, here are the real ones for the sample I received. Top 15 3/4 long x 8 7/8 wide x 8 1/2 tall. At the bottom 13 1/2 x 6 1/2.

Works for Chest Freezer Organization
Expensive but works for organizing our freezer perfectly!

Seems well made has a white plastic coating .
I know the majority of people bought these for their freezers and possibly later I might also buy some to organize mine . I needed a storage solution for some of our dogs toys (they tend to chew most anything I try to put their toys in )so I thought I would try the smaller one and if it worked buy more for their overload of chew toys . Small items probably aren't going to stay in well . I am adding pictures so it's easier to guestamate the size of a regular the only thing I had handy in a similar size was a plastic shoe box the basket the same height as the box and nearly 3 inches longer than the shoe box I'm hoping since many reviews I read people were confused about size that it will make it easier to know if it would fit in their freezers . To be clear I ordered the regular size (NOT THE EXTRA DEEP).I hope this is helpful

Basket Full of Frozen Easy to See and Get.
I'd say I like the basket, it is my second one to order. Fits perfect in my freezer, across the top, I have room for another, twice as good. Lifts out to get to the frozen foods under the baskets, makes handling the frozen food much easier and faster than groping thru the freezer.

These work pretty well. The only issue I have with them ...
I have purchased 4 of these to use in my upright freezer in an attempt to organize my food so I know what I have. These work pretty well. The only issue I have with them is the corner areas. The wire bars end at the corners. The ends of these bars snag on the plastic wrap of my frozen items. I have to be careful of this when I put anything in the basket or take it out. I didn't notice this when I purchased them, because the photo I have on my phone is pretty small. However, these are the right size, and they do work to organize my frozen food. And they were a lot cheaper than other brands I've seen.

LOVE these for organizing upright freezers; detailed review is posted for the smaller size
See my review of the smaller version of these baskets. It's pretty lengthy but I wanted to cover all the bases. I use two sizes because the taller ones fit on two of the shelves in my freezer and the "shorter" ones fit on the other two shelves. If you're tired of searching through your freezer (NOT the freezer on your fridge...these baskets likely won't fit there), these baskets will save you time and energy--both yours and the freezer's--by allowing you to immediately find what you want. I label my baskets so others can find things quickly, also. I use a label-maker, make an extra long label with the wording in the center, wrap the label around a wire on the front of the basket and back onto itself. I suppose you could also use freezer tape for the same purpose. It's pretty easy to decide it these basket will fit your space, simply grab a yardstick and measure your space!

A little surprised...but
Tho they looked smaller "in person" they fit just right. If they were just a little narrower they would fit three across in my freezer (or if my freezer was just a little wider <g>). However, they will certainly solve the problem of having to stack stuff in a bunch and have everything fall out in the floor when the door is opened.I will now be able to pull a basket and just have the things I'm looking for not all in a jumble. I am hoping that somewhere along the line I can get a bigger freezer for laundry/pantry. Until then, these will work a lot better than just the shelves.I've just ordered three more to finish the three shelves. The baskets are a nice weight and deep enough to hold quite a lot.
