Battle Creek Equipment Thermophore Classicª Plus Moist heating pad -Large/14" x 27" Model 255 Red

I had one of these I bought back in the 90’s. It was great. It finally died last year. I have had multiple back surgeries so a good heating pad was a must. I tried a $20 pad from Walmart that was a total disappointment. I tried a $40 pad from Amazon that wasn’t much better. Neither one got anywhere near hot enough. I finally saw the Thermophore classic and recognized it as the same as my old one. It’s the only one that actually gets too hot! I know some people don’t like the switch because you have to hold it down but it is easily defeatable with a rubber band or elastic hair tie. Bottom line if you want a heating pad that gets really hot this is the best choice. I think that all the pads with electronic controls are limited in how much heat they will generate as a safety factor. Since this one requires you to hold down the switch there’s no limits on the heat.

I ordered this Tuesday thinking it wouldn't come until after Christmas because of all of the holiday packaging. I got it the next day. It is made in the USA, LATEX FREE!!! I have an allergy to latex and other pads have caused swelling and breathing issues, and I was so excited to find this. It's a good size, weighty, and looks well made. It heats quickly and stays warm. I didn't think I would like the manual button but it really gives you amazing control over the temperature, and since this pad gets so hot, it's certainly an excellent safety feature. This is a moist heat pad, and it is so soothing. I have a back injury from a car accident 4 years ago and have pain all the time. This pad is my new favorite thing.

Discovered this while visiting a friend in Florida where she was using it for a few minutes to rejuvenate her lower back in the morning. All I can say is wow! This device is the cats pj's! It does a wonderful job of providing a nice even supply of heat on a large scale to the back. My wife and I both use it now almost every day and have bought two more for gifts to people with stiff and aching backs. They also love it. Absolutely worth every penny. It has held up just swell and I would never be without it. Five stars for sure. We use it for about ten minutes then switch to twenty minutes of ice pack then back to this for about twenty minutes. If you do yoga, or swim or strain yourself this product really does the trick. five stars for sure. Ric in Kansas City

This is a great heating pad my low review is because the on off switch is cheap in my opinion. I understand the reason for that kind of switch so it can’t be left on but the reason on buying this one was the switch was snagged under the blanket and when I pulled it it pulled it backwards and now the thing doesn’t work right!!

my last heating pad like this one i had for at least 20 years, i used it all winter longon my back, iv'e used this one twice so far and it is working great. The moist heat gets right intomy back and i can adjust it just the way i want, this heating pad heats instantly and makes mehave a Happy spine!!!! How i got to use this heating pad is because my chiropractor uses every time beforeshe gives me an adjustment!!!!!BATTLECREEK

This is the best heating pad out there . I use this for pain and don’t need pain meds.

These are high quality heating pads that help my wife with chronic back pain. The hands on control switch allows my wife to stop and start the heat as needed.

We have owned one of this model for many years, and it works great. We gave ours to a relative to borrow and can't get it back, so we purchased a new one.
