Q: How do I know if I need these small ones or the large ones?

Hi Gabriella, The small clamps can be expanded as wide as 1/4 inch, while the large clamps can be expanded up to 1/2 inch. So if you are hanging a thick rug, or thicker quilt, you would probably need the larger ones. Whereas if you are hanging a thin tapestry, the small ones would be fine. If you were hanging a really heavy rug or something similar that was not thick, you also might want to consider the larger clamps. Both sizes come in two colors. Hope this helps! Q: Will these hold a 3x5 tapestry in drywall?

Definitely! We normally recommend using a clamp every 10-15", so this should be perfect to hang.

Q: Do i need to drill a whole to the wall?

Hi, Our package includes 4 hangers and 4 stainless steel screws. With our quick hanging system, you just insert your hanging into a clamp and place on a screw. The screws need to be drilled into the wall or any other place where you want to attach your quilt hangers. Best, Anna

Q: Will these hold a cow hide?

I believe it will, it’s just a clamp that you tighten. So there is no reason it can’t hold cowhide. Mine is holding up a carpet.
