MASTERPIECE CONTINUES! SOOOOOO GOOOD🙌🏻!
I just finished reading ‘Wild Lands,’ Savage Lands Book 2, by Stacey Marie Brown and like WOW 😲 WOW 😲 WOW 😲!! HOW is it POSSIBLE that this may be EVEN BETTER than the first book 🤯🤯🤯?!!! (FYI, I’m not affiliated with the author, not in the book biz, reading is just a HOBBY, and I’m just a regular reader that is super passionate 💗 about spreading the word on GREAT books!) There are NO spoilers!First off! This book is AMAZING 🤩🤩🤩! It continued RIGHT where Book 1 ended (and what a DOOZIE 😫 that was 😂!!!) And like… the momentum just kept on going 🏃🏻♀️! I was SO surprised with this book 👏🏻! OK, I had heard GREAT things … but still 😆! It’s super tough for a second book in a series to keep up with the first book (at least I think so 😜.) And this one DEFINITELY kept up with it and then some 🥳🥳🥳!!!There was SO MUCH ACTION 🤺 in this book! Seriously, as SOON as we started settling in to whatever was going on… BOOM 💥 (no pun intended 😅) …. and BAM 💥 (no pun intended 😅) … we are catapulted into something else 😱! The plotline was just SOOOOO GOOOOOOD….. so many questions answered 👏🏻! I did not expect that 😲! With all the mystery 🔎 in the first book, I really thought book two would continue with that theme to leave us in the dark 😞! But seriously, this author KNOWS how to do us RIGHT 💪🏻 because she answered JUST enough questions (and of course gave us a few more 😆) that we are SO satisfied and SO intrigued ALL at the same time 🙌🏻! I really can’t say enough about the plotline in this book 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻… I was on pins and needles 🪡 sooooo many times!! I just got SUCKED into this story and I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next! 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻And there was GREAT 🤩 DRAMA 🎭 . I LOVE ❤️ LOVE ❤️ LOVE ❤️ DRAMA (in a book!! … eh, not so much in real life 😅,) annnnnnd this book was saturated with DRAMA that I DID NOT EXPECT TO ACTUALLY HAPPEN 🙌🏻👏🏻👊🏻! Like I KNEW at SOME point some of this would happen 😬, but I was so pleasantly surprised to get some of it fulfilled earlier on than later … and done soooo perfectly 👌🏻! (Here’s looking 👀 at you Mr. “I have NO Brass Cojones to take a REAL STANCE & am trying to have my cake 🎂 & eat it too” and Ms. “Well I don’t deserve no crap, so whatev... cuz I’m bada$s 👊🏻!”) …. Urg, it’s SUPER hard to write a review with no spoilers on a second book, btw 😂!…. But basically, yeah, we get a LONG AWAITED moment and it’s so freaking good 👍🏻👏🏻!! AMAZEBALLS 🙌🏻! And I was SERIOUSLY worried 😧 for a hot second our girl was going to be super stupid 😒 during a certain Q&A and this author… mannnn, she treats us SO GOOD 👏🏻! There’s always that chance we could get super upset 😡 with our girl … yes.. but praise the book gods this author KNOWS this girl so well (and us so well) and does us both a SOLID ⭐️. The character development is FANTASTIC! I am seriously IN LOVE 😍 with this FMC. She’s AMAZING 🤩! And not only that, but there are new characters!!! Yessssssssss 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 so great! And I’m totally, TOTALLY a fan now of a certain brownie and imp 🥳! They are FABULOUSL! Pasties, bum plug headbands, and all! 🤣🤣🤣But let’s get to what you have been WAITING FOR!!!! He is BIG 🙌🏻! He is DANGEROUS 🗡! He is MOODY 😒! He has us OBSESSED ❤️🔥 and PISSED 🤬 at the same time 🤣🤣🤣! And GOOD news 👆🏻… he is JUST AS SMOKIN 🥵 NOW as he was BEFORE 🙌🏻👏🏻🙌🏻! If you are a fan (which umm yeah, I’m sure you are 😂,) have NO fear!! You will be HAPPY with this book 🙌🏻! That is all I can say!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Honestly, this author blew me away 🤯🤯🤯 with the first book and she has done it again with the second book 🥳🥳🥳! So many twists 🌪 and turns ⤵️, so much action 🤺, a super duper cool 😎 plotline unfolding, awesome romantic ❤️🔥 tension & heat 🔥, and tons of unpredictability! Which is my FAV 👏🏻! If a series keeps me guessing 🤔, that is the highest compliment I can give an author 🙌🏻! I’ve read soooooooo many UFs, PRNs, and Romance Fantasies and it is quite a feat to keep me guessing!! And this gal did it for TWO BOOKs straight, not just the FIRST book!!! And from what I hear… each book gets better 🏆 and better 🏆! AND I CANNOT WAIT TO READ THEM 👏🏻👊🏻🙌🏻! I’m seriously having a tough time stopping to write the reviews between each book because… I JUST WANT MORE! 😆😆😆If you haven’t read my spoiler free emoji review of Savage Lands, you may want to check it out if this hasn’t convinced you to give the series a shot 😂! Again, just a regular reader…. but I post these reviews all over FB, so if you are reading this somewhere on FB, chances are if you search my name you will find the review for the first book! This series is QUICKLY becoming one of my allllll time favs…. annnnnd it’s SERIOUSLY a contender for that TOP 🏆 spot right now! Which I swore, I’d never say that because ANYONE who knows me… knows MY ALL TIME FAV SERIES! 😂😂😂 (But like, THAT IS HOW GOOD THIS SERIES IS 🙌🏻!!!)So what are you waiting for? Give it a shot! TRUST ME on this one.... IT IS PERFECTION 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻!‘Wild Lands,’ Savage Lands Book 2, by Stacey Marie Brown

And somehow this became a 5 star book again
I’m not sure what it is, but this book was as sloppy at the start as the first book. The series feels like it’s playing kid sister to Karen Marie Moning’s Fever series. It motions with the same character arcs and toys with the same questionable ethics on this sort of noire playscape of a setting. And yet there is a sort of lead foot about the entire thing that keeps it from hitting the mark completely. But then those final chapters…Here’s me throwing the proverbial book across the room. This author pulled it off again. Between Opie, who wins best line of the entire book, several plot twists I didn’t see coming, and the Barrons-esque demeanor that Warwick channels in his own right, this author freaking pulled it off again. So here’s the question. Will book three sustain the massive amount of story plotting and, ultimately, the momentum needed to do it again? There’s a nagging feeling that the story arc is flying by the seat of its pants. I sure hope I’m wrong. On to book three.

Great continuation
Great story. I am fully committed and ready to see where the adventure takes me. The only thing that bothers me is that Brex only has a sexual connection with men? I get that they are pulled to her, but does she have zero self control? She wants to feel safe so she throws herself into arms and lips that she shouldn't. Safety means sex to her? She keeps saying that no man will have control over her and yet she keeps giving into them. That bothers me, but not enough to knock a star or stop reading.*if you've read the first book then this shouldn't be surprising. There are several spicy scenes. They are not sweet or delicate. They are primal and harsh. Also, the F word is used for everything, although not as much as in the first book.

More of everything (except motorcycle escapes!)
You did us dirty, SMB.And not particularly in the way that we like. The good news is that if you read the first book in the series, Savage Lands, there won’t be many spoilers within this review. The bad news is that, while the depth of our knowledge about this world has increased, the breadth of it has not. Also, Brexley and Warwick are still not together in a meaningful sense, and I’m just going to freak out if we don’t get more traction there.I digress.Once again, we’re brought into a post-apocalyptic world, where humans and fae vie to control the magic and resources of what (seems to be) a dying world. Brexley is a captive still, this time of the Fae lord Killian, who is also quite drawn to her, as is now par for the course with dear Brex.~spoilers ahead~Brexley is dramatically freed (plus explosions, again) from the fae prison by… Warwick… then brought to the human compound. She wants to fit in with her old life (ish), but simply does not, as she’s given the opportunity to jump right back into the world where she left off, and nothing feels right about it.Oh also, every time she tries to hook up with her old flame, she sees Warwick instead. I mean… same girl. Same.Finding this out, as well as the fact that she’s not quite human, she is yet AGAIN freed by dramatic explosion from the humans, and brought AGAIN by Warwick to ANOTHER secret location, where a figure from her past is still alive, but holds no more keys to who she is.If you didn’t get enough of Brexley and Warwick on a motorcycle in the first book, this book is really what you’re looking for.Her chrome knight comes to the rescue for a third (yes, THIRD) time when the rebel hideout is attacked by HDF forces, and Brexley and Warwick go to a safe space where they can heal. Their connection is revealed to be mind-bogglingly odd, and then we leave the book. They still don’t get it on. Despite being able to without being in the same room, apparently. This brings me to what I needed from the book. I really enjoyed the first book, and the surprising motion and twisting storyline the brought Brex from HDF princess to badass inmate escapee was awesome. This book, I feel like, spent way too much time on… just things, I suppose. Building up some backstory. Providing social commentary. Describing how hot Warwick is. I needed more motion, that didn’t involve explosions and Warwick whisking Brexley somewhere.I do think that there’s some really interesting, thought-provoking pieces here. I noticed that, through this series, there’s some comments on priveledge, that I almost want to see resolved in some form or another. It’s clear that Brexley has suffered in her life: both her parents are dead, and she grew up under a fairly oppressive human regime. However, we are continually reminded that, while Brexley is the product of a broken life, it could have been worse. I’m thinking specifically of Birdie, who points out that while Brexley did grow up an orphan, she was also safe and fed. It calls to mind the difference between Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and Blooms Taxonomy of thinking. There’s a saying in education… you can’t get to Blooms (meaning, high-level functioning and intellectual reflection) before you take care of Maslow’s, and I’m intrigued at Brown bringing this into this dystopian world. I also noted that, while it’s clear humans are not the “good guys”, it almost seems like the thing that grounds them, their humanity, is nothing other than oppression itself. In the next book, I need some answers. A well placed infodump would just really do it for me. I also need for Brexley and Warwick to move into something else. I need to know the thing that binds them together, and what’s more, I need to like it. So far, they’re just really sexy and mean to each other, which DEFINITELY works for me, but I want them to fall in love with each other. Or at least like each other. “Barely tolerates each other” is not working for me anymore.I genuinely also love how Brexley has grown. She’s becoming my favorite type of PNR heroine, and I can’t wait to see what she does next.Overall, the book was good. I needed more from it, but I’d like to see the pathways that have come out of this book lead somewhere awesome. Also, just a few fewer Brexley and Warwick motorcycle scenes would be fine.

What an incredible sequel to Savage Lands!!! OMG, definitely worth the read, Need more!
Wild lands, as the name suggest, will take you on a wild fast paced adventure with Brexley and Warrick. I loved this dystopian world, it had me captivated from the very first page, ah where do I start… The storytelling pulls you in and makes you feel everything that the characters are experiencing. I was literally at the edge of my seat, my heart was racing throughout the book, I could not anticipate the direction that the story was going and the author delivered beautifully with some unexpected curveballs. The author manages to link the dots smoothly, some mysteries solved while new ones came to light. The unpredictability of it all and the descriptive fight/chase scenes enhanced my enjoyment of this book. It was as if I was living it all, superb writing!!Brexley is no longer the sheltered girl, she is now a survivor, her eyes now opened to what is happening outside of her well protected bubble. She is questioning everything she has been taught so far and grows stronger as a character. OMG OMG the Star War vibes between Warrick & Brexley is blistering hot, the tension between them so palpable with both trying to fight this unexpected & unexplained attraction. We are also introduced to new characters, the fae lord killian (who btw is a hottie and oh la la…), Sarkis Army and their roles in the current war. I need more of Killian, is he the baddie or not? Remains to be seen. The author also has some great analogies to Mother Nature and current world issues which were deep and insightful. I cannot wait for the next book, Dead Lands to be released in June.

Amazing
Every time I read one of Stacey’s books she blows my expectations out the water. She pushes the story’s and characters to the limit in every way and it makes for the most extraordinary read ever. I am so in love with this world to have watched it grow through so many different series has been amazing, I want to devour ever drop of information about it there is. The small glimpses or mentions of charters that have already stolen our heart mixed with the new one stealing them all over again makes you feel like you are Re-entering home. Wild lands is completely jam packed with action, sexy heated tension, unexpected twist, and made me laugh out loud as we as hit me right in the gut, it’s so well written you experience every emotion with all the amazing characters. I really can’t recommend this series enough it will blow your mind. Bring on book 3.

Exceptionally good series...
Book 1 was good. Savagelands drew you in and set the stage up for all drama that would hit Brexley but no book 2 had to add more. With twists, and secrets dropping every chance she gets to breathe. Near death and revelations turned Wildlands into a pageturner. Fae vs human dystopia with alphaholeness galore and a determined Female cast. What more could an avid reader ask for? Book 3. With this cliffhanger, I believe I will not be adulting until this series is read. An intense read.

I had been in the depths of hell and dragged myself out.
Welcome back Brex and Warwick. I missed you.Book 2 continues on exactly where we left off in book 1. We are finally starting to see Brex's character development in real world scenarios and it is everything! We are also given a small reward for this slow burn and it is perfect.I love meeting additional characters in book 2 and those back stories are beginning to unravel... Yay!Stacey has done it again with this one!
