Great reading light
I had been looking for a light to use at night that wouldn’t disturb my husband. This works perfectly. Battery life is great. It has 3 different brightness settings. I have been using the lowest setting as that is plenty bright enough for me. The only complaint I have is that the on/off/brightness selector button could be a problem if your partner is a light sleeper because it does make an audible click when you press it.

Love this thing!
This is such a cool light and loved it right out of the box! Fully charged out of the box, has three great light settings, had fun reading with it. I was able to clip it to the bed backboard but I like it clipped to my book. Quite soothing. The neck is very bendable and stays put.

Works
Light provides a less glowing light. It did not help me with what I needed but the light does what it says and is a quality item gornthe cost.

Awesome for kids reading in the car
My daughter devours books. Darker car rides can be tough for her since she wants to read and tough for me because she asks for the overhead light on. Not good for driver. This little contraption saved the day and it’s warm light so it doesn’t mess with the brain before bedtime.

Great for night reading
Love this little light. Clips on nicely to my books. Amber is great for allowing my eyes to rest while I read. Light also does not bother hubby. Easy to recharge with USB.

Pros and Cons
I wanted a travel reading light that was less obtrusive in low-light situations. The other aspects of the light (size, weight, battery life, etc.) were also important. I purchased the Amber Light+ 2021. This is my assessment of its performance.Pros:1. Wide area of illumination. Even with large books (textbooks), the medium and brightest setting, will illuminate both pages.2. Lightweight. It doesn't add noticeable weight to a book, although it's not light enough to be magazine-usable.2. 3 brightness settings which adequately cover most use cases.3. Thoughtfully designed clip. The end of the clip is hinged. The hinge essentially turns the edge of the clip into a rubber-padded foot. This means there is no sharp edge that can dig into pages of a book, screen of a laptop, or furniture. The clip opens to just over an inch wide: wide enough to fit many shelves or desktops. The clip also acts as a stand, so the light can sit stably on a flat surface, like a traditional lamp.4. LED battery indicator with 4 lights, so you know the approximate level of the battery.5. Flexible neck. The light is easy to maneuver and flexes in all directions equally well.6. The light has pass-through charging, which allows for charging and using of the light at the same time.7. Battery life seems to be as stated. I have not run any formal tests on the battery. More importantly, I do not have to charge the battery after each use, or worse, in the middle of a reading session.Cons:1. The USB-C port does not work with a USB-C to USB-C cable. This light will only charge with a USB-C to USB-A cable. (I did not realize this at the time of purchase.) I travel with a charger that has 2 USB-C ports and 2 USB-C cables. I can use that setup for all my other electronics. This light almost required me to buy and carry another a charger. I have since purchased a USB-A to USB-C adapter to attach to the included cable. Now, I travel with the same charger but must bring the dedicated cable/adapter just for this light. The adapter cost as much as the light.2. The power switch is accidentally accessed too easily. I travel with this light. Although I use the included drawstring bag, sometimes when I have unpacked the light, the battery was dead, indicating the light was accidentally turned on during transit. Moving the power switch from the top of the lamp head to the body of the clip might reduce this occurrence. It would also bring the brightness switch closer the to hand during use.The Middle:1. This light skews a little too warm (orange) for my taste. There are more sophisticated lights being sold, which have a mixture of cool (white) and warm (amber) LEDs. These lights give the choice to use only the warm LEDs, only the cold LEDs, or a mixture of both.2. Despite having a diffuser, there is a moderate hotspot directly below the lamp head on surfaces that aren't completely flat matte. This means most textbooks require maneuvering of the light while reading different sections of the page. All lights have hotspots. I only mention it because Amber Light specifically lists its diffuser as a feature. Have realistic expectations of this diffuser.3. I do wish there was an ultra-low setting. The lowest setting may still disturb others around you. Even when alone, having an ultra-low setting would offer expanded options.Overall, the lamp performs its advertised task adequately. Its strongest feature is the clamp/stand. It's most notable fault is the USB-C port. The improvement I'd most like to see in its next iteration is the implementation of a warm + cold LED combination.
