I use this a lot and make beef, chicken, venison and lentil stews. If I am using a cheap cut of beef, I tend to leave it on over night, as even 8 hours will sometimes not produce tender meat. The internal bowl is removable, which makes cleaning a lot easier. You can use this metal bowl to brown onions and meat on top of the stove, but I do it separately. The instructions are a bit obscure about which is Low and which Keep Warm, so to clarify this it goes Off - Low -High - Keep Warm. I would normally have it on High for an hour and then turn it down to Low. Every time you take the lid off, it will take half an hour to get back to temperature. If you want to add fresh herbs, add them at the end, but dried herbs are fine for stews.

perfect for winter stews etc,lots of room and easy to use ,browing the meat etc on the hob and moving over to the base saves alot of time and washing up,holds flavor in well and makes more than enough for a family of 4 ..and 1 greyhound 😂.no issues to speak of.

This is my first time buying a slow cooker. My son recommended i purchase one. The removable bowl is a great feature as it allows you to sear your meat before slow cooking. It does take many hours to cook but leaves the meat very tender and retains all the flavours from the ingredients added. Also very easy to clean the bowl and lid which can also go in the dishwasher. Great 1 pot cooking which makes life easier as you can just put all the ingredients in and set to cook. Have only used for lamb and chicken so far but will definitely be cooking a lot more recipes in this.

A real bonus is the sizzle and sear option, in the non stick pot, saves on pots and pans.

have only switched on at the minute...but i can see its good quality and so please it can sear mean and onions before slow cooking.. The metal inner looks good feels good and i am sure will do the job its intended for superbly. made a nice Sunday hotpot last week...i put a bit too much stock in but ended up being very tasty indeed
