I needed a socket converter for two SUNTHIN (3-Pack) Daylight LED Bulbs, 5500K, 4000LM, 300W Replacement, Yard Light Bulb, LED Corn Light Bulbs I purchased on Amazon. I tried another brand that appeared to recommended by Amazon which did not work because the rim of the socket was too tall. Which prevented the bulb from screwing in to the bottom so the bulbs would not work. I contacted Amazon who got me in touch with the seller. And recommended these E26/E27 to E39/E40 light socket converters. The rim on these are roughly 3/16" shorter than the others I had purchased. And they worked perfectly.I have purchased and used many E39 light sockets before. For HPS and MH and CFL's. Both plastic/polymer and ceramic. Though this was only the second set of converters I have purchased. None of the plastic/polymer E39 sockets or converters I have ever dealt with would be considered heavy duty. Drop a high quality ceramic one on concrete and it will break. A plastic/polymer one will not. But the metal inside is usually very thin and the screws that hold metal in place tend to be very small. When a bulb is tightened down it can bend the metal or even rip it right out of the screws. I would generally call them somewhat fragile.As far as plastic/polymer E39 sockets go. I would say that these are in the higher end of the range. The metal insides appear to be a little thinker and the screw heads a little bigger than others I have used. Not thick and not big by any means. But by comparison they are as good as I have seen. So when the bulb reached full depth and I screwed the bulb down tight. I had no worry that I was going to rip out the metal guts out of the socket. If I needed more converters. I would not hesitate to buy more of these.

These adapters worked great for my soft box. I ordered the wrong kind of 500W bulbs and didn't want to return them so I ordered these. They worked out great and my wife (photographer) actually liked these larger based bulbs better. So these really helped me turn a mistake into a miracle! I did have to lift the tab up on the inside of the socket so it could make contact with the tip of the bulb, other than that, I am completely satisfied with my purchase.

Both the adapters did not work at the start. The contact at the base, where the bulb touches was depressed and there was no way for it to make the contact. I pulled it up in both adapters, on one, it started to work. On the other adapter, no matter how much I raise the contact, it does not make the connection.This is not a reflection of the seller, but of the manufacturer. It is more of a hassle to ask for a refund when I did need one of them immediately. But I will remember the manufacturer and not get their products in future. Once bitten twice shy.

Haven't had to use them yet. I found the LED lights I wanted with the standard screw in Base (E26) required.I was at a loss looking for the LED lights at my local hardware stores. They all had the E39 base. I bought these to make the adjustment, but later found the LED light on Amazon with the E26 base so I don't need them anymore.But will keep them around just in case the need comes up in the future.

If like myself you find a really good deal on large base e39 bulbs, buy them!!!!!! Use this adapter in a medium e26 fixture rated at or above the wattage of the bulb. In larger high ceiling buildings where fixtures can cost $250 or more. You can have more light with LED bulbs using this adapter in much cheaper to buy and maintain fixtures. I love this product and will buy more as I convert 8’ fluorescent fixtures, metal halide and sodium over.

One of the two didn't work. I wasn't going to worry about it because it was so cheap, but they reached out to me to ask how I liked it. When I stated that one appeared defective, they sent two more, which both work perfectly.

Amazing plugs, worked perfectly with the corn lights I bought 😊 no fires and I leave em unattended for hours per day for a couple months now side by side!!
