Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain, Parisian Passion/005, 0.27 Fluid Ounce

Great colour, and long term coverage with moisture. Pricing could be better, it is marked up roughly $2-10 when compared to in-store retailers, and Revlon themselves as an Amazon retailer.

Does what I had hoped it would do which is just to leave a stain without having to have a build up of product.

When I bought this in Parisian Passion and London Posh, I thought they would be really nice. I loved the packaging and thought the colours looked pretty. However I was surprised when I seen the wand. I did not like the applicator and they did not contain much of the product on it. Plus the products seemed quite clumpy and thin and the colours did not spread well. Despite this, I'll give them a chance.If they are no good then I will probably have to let them go, which would be disappointing.

I am a nurse and I need makeup and skin care items that will last the duration of my 12 hr shifts. I am going for a "me, only not pale as death" natural makeup look. I love lip stains and years ago had stocked up on Revlon "Just Bitten" stains that worked nicely on cheeks and lips. For some reason, they were discontinued so I have been looking for a replacement. I like a sheer look with some color, and I prefer stains because they last longer. I really like this stain, although it is a tad goopy and you need to blot when you apply. I also do not find it moisturizing in the least, and need to apply lip balm over the top several times during a shift. However, the color pretty much stays, which is most important. I have the shade Parisian Passion, which is a beautiful blue-red berry color that works well for my very pale skin and dark hair. Too bad this stuff is not being made anymore and this is old product, but I did order 3 so I am set for a while.

Overall the product is great it isn't sticky, it applies well, the colour is vibrant.The only issue I have with it is I bought 045 New York Scene which looks like a dark red with purple undertones both on the label, and in the little picture, but the colour when it goes on is a bright cherry red, much more dramatic and not what I would wear for a day lip like I had planned.I will keep it since the product itself seems good, just would be wary of colour choices when picking them out! I have added a picture of New York Scene (ignore the lack of other make up... And the kigu..) so that you guys can get a genuine idea of what the colour is before buying. They don't seem to have a darker colour option maybe the Paris one? But I'm not sure if I would risk buying another colour.
