LOVE THIS WRAP!!
My dog is constantly getting lick granulomas on his legs due to anxiety. We try the cone but sometimes he can still reach it to lick the spot. We found this wrap and it’s been such a blessing to help heal the granulomas fast! We still use in conjunction with the cone for extra protection. This is our 3rd wrap and will continue to buy!

I so wanted this to work... :-(
I have a 10-year-old border collie/lab cross who has had skin problems his whole life, due to a compromised immune system, the experts think. Mainly his problems manifest as biting/licking/chewing of his paws, and we've tried everything under the sun (holistic and conventional). It seems to be a seasonal affliction, though as he gets older, the itchy season seems to last longer and be more extreme. Anyway, the best thing we've ever encountered is the all-natural DermaPaw ointment (safe and soothing), but he'll lick it off if we leave his feet bare. And lately he's been licking right through the boys' socks we put on him. So we wanted something sturdier. We tried the Healers Booties (and I made the mistake of buying them direct from the company, instead of on Amazon...I'll never do that again). The boots didn't stay on at all, and although I had spoken with the company owner, who assured me that if they didn't fit she'd stand behind her product (and she asked about his breed/weight and assured me the med was the right size). Well, after it was clear they weren't staying on and even the velcro wasn't sticking after a short while, I contacted the company, but after a few emails with someone there (where she was trying to tell me I had bought the wrong size!), they blew me off entirely. Sigh...If I'd ordered them from Amazon, I could've gotten a refund.Okay, so back to the leg wrap. The owner of the company recommended the leg wraps to me to help the boots stay on, since in essence it lengthens the boots (the boots are very short on their own, which is probably why they don't stay on when the dog walks or runs, even a few yards). The leg wrap (and $14 for ONE wrap feels ridiculously high, especially since the quality is sub-par) worked great for about three days, until the fabric on the inside of the wrap detached from the rest of the wrap and started sticking to the velcro so that the velcro became useless. I cut that loose fabric away, but then a few days later the velcro stopped sticking, too. It seemed to stick to the bedspread when the dog was napping, but not stick to the wrap I was securing to his leg. So frustrating! Thankfully, Amazon refunded my $ on this (their customer service is second-to-none). But I wanted to share my experience in case it helps other dog owners. I can't recommend this product.

Poor Quality. Save your money.
Poor quality product that started to separate and fall apart after 2 weeks of use. Waste of money.

Dog with Lick Granuloma
Buy this if your dog has a Lick Granuloma and you are trying to figure out how to get her/him to stop licking it. I tried everything from a cone which gave him a yeast infection in both ears, leg wrap that went around his shoulder, ointments, new skin, you name it and my dog is a heavy chewer and would NOT leave anything alone including this wrap but we did get it to stay on him for long enough periods of time until he finally has stopped licking it. It took us a year until we found this item. Granted we went through about 4 of them because he did chew a couple of them off, but there is something about the texture absorbing moisture and compression which allowed his leg to start healing without it feeling itchy to him. Now left is the scar tissue build up which I researched and found rubbing vitamin e oil into it will break it up. If this even helped one other person it was worth my time writing it. Thank you.

Stong hold
My pup has a wound on her leg that was no healing. Any other bandage I applied she was able to chew off or completely remove. This product has velcour that is very strong. Once I place this wrap around her leg covering the wound, it stays in place even if she tries to pull at it. The wound is finally starting to heal because she is not able to get at it. Very happy with this product.

Longer than you would think
Part of me wishes I could rate it higher, the other part lower. We ordered the small for our Pomeranian who has caused himself some wounds on his leg, however when trying to wrap this around his leg the wrap quickly became bulky and no matter how breathable the packaging said it was, after the multiple wrap arounds due to the length of the fabric the wrap was no longer breathable, nor was it comfortable for our little guy. His leg became so hot and uncomfortable that he was trying to take it off within minutes of us putting it on, and he lets us keep vet wrap on it for several days if necessary.Maybe we can use this for our 50lb Karst shepherd...

The only protectant bandage Tessa has not be able to remove!
This wrap is fantastic if your dog tries to take everything off like mine does. She typically will remove any sort of bandage or protectant wrap. She tried with this one but gave up after 5 minutes of trying and it stayed on all night. I wouldn't say its really stretchy, I don't think it needs to be since the wrap is long enough to extend the leg. However, I would recommend getting some extra gauze, the small squares are hard to hold in place and wrap the leg at the same time. Overall, it's great though!

Perfect for larger dogs.
This product is great for larger dogs (100lbs+). My older dog has developed a "lick spot" triggered by anxiety. We regularly wrapped his leg to let it heal. Since the leg wrap is long enough to extend far above a single area (often up the leg), he was less prone to starting a new spot. My only complaint is that there is not a cotton area to act as a reusable gauze. While you can add your own gauze pads, we thought that a breathable cotton swatch would do a better job since we regularly wash the wrap.

Could not make this product work for us...
I purchased this for the dog of a friend who was licking her stitches (the dog not my friend) – we measured her legs to ensure that we had the correct sizing but the Velcro ‘teeth’ were rubbing and irritating her skin no matter how we tried to wrap her legs. Plus there was nothing to secure/prevent them from riding up and down her leg and her wound was very deep and we needed something that would be stable and not re-open her stitches. We could not use these and I personally would not recommend them (or I would not use them for my own dogs in the future if such a product was required). For reference, we purchased size small and the dog is a medium sized female (50lb) lab/collie cross.

Lick Granuloma Fix
Lick Granuloma Fix! I needed something to cover my shitzu's front leg and this was perfect. I cut it in half and made two. I wrapped my dogs foot with gauze then wrapped this over top and it's stopped my dog from licking! Hallelujah!

Great idea good for small wounds
These didn't quite work for our purposes of large wound on large dog. They didn't stay on too well. Probably good for protection.
