Awesome
A good book to begin with and also refer to later.Author has taken a unique approach to explaining the double wishbone geometry and the corresponding dynamics on applying load.. the upper and lower arms are covered separately and the relation between the arm length, arc of travel , and camber is explained well.People just lower the car without understanding why camber is not the actual problem ..its a side effect etc. There is a separate chapter on negative camber, castor and king pin inclination and how the wheel offset is important to this relationship.Awesome book to refer to when you are experimenting with wheels, springs or just toe settings.5 stars , the author has used a car with a live rear axle but that's ok..since the front is double wishbone.

Not technical enough or assists in what sources are available for bake systems.
To generic and a rehash of other books contents. Not worth the money. The title is miss-leading. Plenty of info on chassis setup, but very generic overall. There are better books out there.

I have decided to build my own car (replica) this book is very helpful. I have worked on suspensions, but never had to "design" any! There is a big difference between working on, and design, building from scratch!!

Good Suspension Primer
Pretty basic but good to have in the library.

below average- wish I could recommend some other book- I am actively buying other "replacements" for this one
Needs a proof reader- several major misstatements via typographical errors, and at least one drawing used three times- fortunately 2 of 3 have correct captions.Tons of repetition, and a lengthy wasted chapter on set up- including some truly ill-advised/off-the-wall suggestions on doing car set up without scales. The only book on cars I own, which I decided (after sleeping on it) to write in with a pen, correcting and clarifying.
